Ego or not. Barber was a big reason why the Giants were in the hunt for most of his playing years. How many of us screamed "Give the ball to Tiki!" at our TV screens?

I've never been more conflicted watching a highlight reel. Tiki gave the G-men some great years, but it's hard to forget how he broke faith with the team and bad mouthed them after retirement. The fact the Giants won the Super Bowl the year after he retired was poetic justice.

Say what you want about Tiki, over 17000 total yards in 10 seasons.

What a game by Barber. How the hell Jim Fassel never got a second job, he was head coach from 1997-2003. Went to the playoffs 3 times, one SB appearance and one head coach of the year and that was unacceptable. How far the Giants have fallen now

Shockey catching that ball over Dawkins and jabbing at him after Dawkins ended Ike Hillard's season with a cheap shot is still one of my favorite plays ever.

Tiki Barber - great player, terrible teammate. The latter ruined your legacy as a Giant. Too bad you weren't smart enough to realize that. You would have been treated like a king by the loyal Giants fans.

Tiki you hanged In there I would've told the coach to replace me for this game it's embarrassing. Coach believed in him that's amazing. When you don't think you can do it it's good to have a voice and say naaa get back out there try again I believe In you that brings life back into your heart. Tiki that was amazing I forgot about this game to you my friend 🥂.

I was at this game. The place was electric. Game should've been a blowout too but the refs made some bs calls that took 2 tds off the board for the giants. Epic win. The giants stadium crowds were the best. The metlife crowds can't compare.

I was there. I remember Tiki having a phenomenal game but....the fumbles! Shockey’s TD catch was awesome and I remember hugging a complete stranger after Matt Bryant made the game-winning field-goal.

Still one of my favorite games growing up.

Like him, or not, Tiki Barber is the best RB this franchise ever had. Once he started carrying the ball higher, he eliminated his fumbling problem.

This was one of those classic up and down games by the Giants that season. Touchdown wiped off the board by a penalty, Tiki dominating and self destructing and a missed field goal by Bryant. Glad they pulled it out to make the playoffs, but the next week was a nightmare in San Francisco.

When you look at all the holes and opened-up running lanes, it seems that this should be more of a tribute to the Giants offensive line than it is to Tiki, who is looking like a no-nonsense, vertical, straight-away runner with few moves, and not really bowling over anybody. I remember driving thru the NY sports radio listening area in the weekend prior to this game; the radio talk show host was bemoaning the Giants chances in this game, and was infuriating the listening fan base, who were angrily calling into the station....my car was filled with the strife, and the shouting matches between call-in listener and host. The main point of contention was A.J. Feeley starting, who was the 3rd string eagles QB, but did have a perfect 4-0 record going into the game. When I watched this game on TV, it was the most raucous and rambunctious, packed-together crowd in Giants stadium I had ever seen. Everybody remembers the Shockey TD over Dawkins, but the truly most surprising/shocking play of the game was the missed chip-shot field goal near the end of regulation by David Akers of all people, our most reliable kicker in Eagles history.
