Thank you, lads: now I FINALLY understand the reason why you should take a staggered stance sometimes. It always sounded (and felt, in practice) a bit counterintuitive and all it would do was throw me off balance easier in choppy conditions; but now I can see why. I will try it these days and see if it will help me paddle in a straight line without having to change sides too much.

From 11:16 to 11:35 he appears to be bending his torso down before the catch phase and lengthening his torso during the power phase -- the opposite of what most folks teach.

Thanks for the tips. Wondering if you can show how you switch your feet when you switch sides of the board you are paddling on while paddling in a straight line for a long distance. Is it a sort of hop switch of your feet? Or a step switch? I've experienced the issues you describe by having my feet parallel on the board. Want to work on the staggered stance. Thanks.

I heard rumors that connor is having back problems because of his technique. Is there any truth to this?
