I use a Sling Hook with my pack. The Exo straps are wider than the hook was designed for, but it still stays solidly in place. Most of the time, the rifle rides hands free. I've seen other shooters wrap the sling around their arm to help stabilize the gun when not shooting prone.

My veil 7mm likes 155g browning rounds, the recoil is very nice, my muzzle break was fitted already from factory and i will leave it. I have a Burris fullfield 4-16×50 illuminated and it works for me. I have never been a tikka fan just because it seems thier everywhere but its a nice shooter

I have a T3X Roughtech in 300 Win mag that I had Parkerized with a Leupold VX5HD 3-15x44 and a Nomad Ti suppressor ad it is by far and away my favorite bolt gun I've ever owned or shot. I can shoot cold 3 shot 1/4" groups off my backpack at 100 yards with no ears. Freaking ridiculous how stoked I am with it.

With the Tikkas we have had the same experience since 2013, we run 3 of them now in .308 and waiting on a fourth in 300wsm. the 3 we got likes the 180grain coppers a lot. we try to load practice rounds up at this heights to. All under 150 won't go near good. Soon general all Tikkas we have tested looks the heavier stuff. (know this is an old vid but)

I’ve been shooting using bipods since the mid-1980s. I never could get consistent groups when I was on slippery surfaces (surfaces that the bipod moved around at all). Even on shooting benches, I had inconsistency, I always used a bag. Surfaces such as the ground we’re different, I started using Harris bipod, but I didn’t prefer the rubber as much as I did spikes that penetrating into the ground surface like Atlas Bipods have

I have a browning hells canyon speed in 300 win mag , I got very frustrated by this rifle when I first got it because during load development I would find a load that tucked 3 shots right together then I would confirm with a 5 shot group and it would open right up. But absolutely you are correct I learned that the rifle did a fantastic job of what it was designed to do for a hunting rifle but it gets crazy when it gets hot. Definitely learned that lesson .

I just managed to buy one of these yesterday and a 300 win mag in camo veil alpine the day before. I had actually planned to only buy the 7 mag one in alpine camo but I waited too long to submit the order and someone purchased the last one out from under me. So I had to settle for the 300 win mag instead which turned out to be the last one they had in stock. A day or so later as I was looking through reviews online a different online vendor showed this very same rifle in inventory. They had two in fact so I did not waste any time and bought one on Monday night. By the following day on Tuesday morning someone had purchased the other tikka t3x lite in camo veil wideland! These rifles are selling like hotcakes and are getting really hard to find.

Love the Nosler AB, but $60+ a box is close to double ELDX without much if any added accuracy. Added: $12 on MCARBO trigger spring, got it down to 1.9 lbs. Bolt fluted from longrifles for $40. Limbsaver pad. Shoots amazing and super light. BTW- favorite ultralight sling: Limbsaver Kodiak Air.

*Interesting but the end results on paper was indeed disappointing.* *With our Mauser in a .270 at 100 yrds were all touching and another time we had removed the Leupold scope for whatever reason, but thought to check it out again with little time, and so the printed results were 3/16th apart, same distance.* *Our barrel was 26.5 long and I believe a 7 in one twist and a slightly heaver barrel than normal with a wood stock. I'm sure the Tikka can do better but it has to be seen before we commit. Thanks guys.*

I have a Tikka CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor that shoots the same as your guns. An average of 0.5 MOA or less for 5-shot groups with handloads. Last weekend I was testing out a load. I use software that tells you all the statistical information about your groups. It will also aggregate all your groups into one group based on point of aim. Anyway, for 26 shots (7 3-shot groups and 1 5 shot group) aggregated into 1 group, the result was a group that is 2/3 MOA center-to-center. That's pretty insane for an unmodified factory rifle.

@@catlin-vn1sh up here in Alberta, A veil costs $550CDN more than a stainless lite. And adding a brake costs about $300… so the bling camo, fluting, cerakote, and bolt handle are the extra gucci fashion accessory goodies you get for $250. That’s a damn fair price if you ask me! The veil looks amazing. Personally, I’d rather get a stainless lite, chuck the tupperware stock and upgrade to a Manners MCS-EH1-TK stock and Atlasworx aluminum bottom metal…. Oooooh! 🤤 Unfortunately will cost more though. The veil is a very fine and very nicely priced rifle… every time i see them I drool like im looking at a ferrari. Cheers.

@@trevorkolmatycki4042 I’m from Nova Scotia same here. I swapped out my bolt handle for a blacked out bolt knob and handle, floor plate is next. Topped it with a vx3 hd cds. 5/8th groups with berger hybrid hunters. Right around an 1” or a shade over with the hornady eldx. Took a moose with some 160 barnes in cape breton, can’t find the any where. Great bullet. Hopefully someday you’ll get your rifle.

@@catlin-vn1sh Bravo on your moose hunt! You have yourself a very fine moose/elk rifle there!… 7RM with 160gr TSXFB?… that is a real penetrator. Nice scope too. My moose/elk rifle is a stainless Sako A7 in 300WSM with a bell & carlson composite stock, aluminum bottom metal, Burris Veracity 3-15 scope and muzzle brake. I’m running 175gr Barnes LRX bullets. If you are looking for aftermarket tikka bottom metal, consider Atalasworx in Australia… they ship to Canada. My deer rifle is a Browning X-bolt hunter in 270WIN with a Leupold VX5HD. The CDS turret is soo nice. The tikka I would love to get… that I described… I would want in 7mm-08… to be used for high volume long range target shooting and marksmanship training. Cheers!

@@PNWild maybe, doubt they'd listen to one guy. They should make a magnum length action so they can make a 300 prc and other newer calibers too.

Why Tikka make the 300WM with 1:11" twist?????
@ValcoBayrunner
@ValcoBayrunner 2 жыл бұрын
Cause they use the metric system 🤣. They dont understand the american market. My 300 win mag Sako A7 is that twist rate also. Meaning I have to stay with 180gr bullets, it wont shoot the 212gr high BC bullets worth a dam. Also btw, I cant load my bullets long due to magazine length. My bullets are jumping a quarter inch to reach the lands.

I’d rather get the cheapest T3x lite or lite stainless you can find, throw away the stock and bed the barreled action into a Bell & Carlson or Manners or McMillan fibreglass composite stock.

You guys calling out the group performance as he shoots it is the most annoying thing I’ve ever heard. You’re acting like he’s looking through a 4x 1976 weaver wife angle. Shut up and let the man review his own results.
@PNWild
@PNWild 2 жыл бұрын
Not sure what a weaver “ wife “ angle is, but we’re looking through a 60x spotter. Everyone’s new to shooting and I’m assuming you are but that’s okay we don’t judge. You See shooters have “spotters” in tons of different real life situations. “Spotters” will help call impacts and misses, spotters will also help the shooter make the correct adjustments. That’s sort of the spotters job by definition. Thanks for your uneducated comments we appreciate the feedback.
