I am sure he knew how valuable they were, he gave them to his granddaughter as part of her inheritance. They are very wealthy so I am sure she is also taken care of financially.

@@soniaharrison1016 She says her older cousins and sisters got some, then "he gave *A LOT* of her clothing to the Real Real," which is an exclusive second hand store. You can see in her face (10:56 - 11:03) that she's smiling but she wishes he hadn't. They can be "very wealthy" but they obviously can't buy her another grandmother, and she would have liked to have had more of her things as a comfort and a remembrance.

The sable fur coat is quite a spectacular piece for $50,000! I believe her full length silver fox fur coat embodies Young Olivia in a nutshell, tho! 😂😂😂😂

I know its gorgeous. I have a beautiful, pristine, full length chocolate mink coat from the 80s, picked it up for $70 Canadian, since fur is considered passe. Its light weight, luxurious, and super warm. I think it would have been about 30,000 then, which would be about $100,000. So pick up those beautiful furs now since they last forever and are so priceless

What a gorgeous young woman. She could be a model herself. If she received what her cousins didn't want I can only imagine what they choose from the closets. I've been wearing vintage most of my 65 years. It just shows how styles come back around every few years. Those studded shoes are a prime example. Growing up, I saw ads for this company's products too, and want them to get the credit they deserve. So, I wanted to clear up a confusion. The young lady's grandparents were not part of Johnson & Johnson. Her grandparents created Johnson Products Company (black hair care products). Johnson & Johnson made medical products and later on consumer health products (which is how we got band-aids, and baby oil).

My Dad used to work for JPC. He loved it. Her grandfather was the hard nosed business man and his brother John was the creative ambitious figure. George and Joan were both hard nosed business people, a true power couple. Those are amazing clothes.

Ms Johnson used to coordinate Fashion Fair Fashion show tours around the country and they were EVERYTHING. I grew up as a dark black girl in Kansas City, KS. The show came through with models of every hue. I went with my mom who loved fashion. It was amazing and I will never forget it. Ever.

I MET MR. JOHNSON AT ULTRA SHEEN IN CHICAGO MANY YEARS AGO AT JOHNSONS ULTRA SHEEN COMPANY. I had done some part- time work for another hairr care line he also had in the South!!! It was SUCH A PLEASURE TO GO INTO HIS BUILDING THAT WAS PERFECTION AT THE TIME I WAS ABLETO VISIT THERE!!!

I think designer clothes seldom go out of style. Look at the number of dresses HRH Katherine and HRH Anne have worn over the years. Anne has worn dresses that are 30+ years old and Katherine has worn gowns over 10 years old. There is a timeless elegance to designer clothing.
