7:02 this makes the kiss non consensual. Because consent can only be true consent if it's freely given, reversible, informed, enthusiastic, and specific (FRIES). And/or IDEAL: informed, direct, engaged, aligned, and lucid. I get that this is a video and he was probably paid and did actually know what was going to happen but for younger viewers watching not only is it homophobic, it is also normalising ambiguous/dubious consent. Which is not okay.

@oli_kate
@oli_kate 2 жыл бұрын
@@josephperna2081 Firstly please do not call me hon. Secondly, no. I won't ever stop advocating for consent. It's important and it matters deeply to me. [TW: discussion of assault and gender based violence] I live in South Africa where a woman is murdered roughly every 4 hours. Where 146 sexual offences are reported each day (and that's only the ones reported). * I know what sexual harassment and assault do. I and every one of my close friends (across the gender spectrum) have experienced some degree of a sexual offence be it catcalling or all the way to r*pe. I will never stop fighting for that not to be true. For the next generation to not experience that. I understand the feeling of helplessness and feeling like the oppression is too great and society too stuck to ever change. But the thing is is that it won't if we all think like that. So I for one will never give up. I believe that, to put it simply, 'my body's nobody's body but mine, you have your body let me have mine'. That is true no matter your gender, your age, your social status, wealth, physical strength/ability, etc. Your body is your own and should only be touched if you are comfortable with it and the definitions of consent I previously stated are being met. Statistically, a lot of assault cases are not reported especially when the victim is male. I don't believe that we should just give up though. We have to keep fighting for spaces that believe victims and make it safe for them to come forward. We have to keep fighting for harsher sentences for perpetrators and better education for everyone about consent, sex, power dynamics, and gender roles. We need to fight for courts and stations dedicated to gbv and s/assault. We need to fight to be heard. It should be that everyone is just heard or that no one does these awful things in the first place, but it isn't. So we fight. That's my take on this. I don't particularly want to argue with you more than I already have so I won't be replying to you again. My comment was meant to educate and point out a fact. Anyway okay bye hope everyone reading this is safe and well. Wishing you a good night (or day depending what time it is). Also hoping that you try to be kind to at least one person today. You can make someone's day just by doing something small. *mg.co.za/special-reports/2020-12-04-gender-based-violence/

@@josephperna2081 That doesn't mean we just keep things as is. There's a great deal of social injustices in history and we got rid of them by fighting to change those things and this is no different. As a mom is just made me very proud and tear up a lil lol. I’ve learned personally as a 5”0 young woman myself it’s always best to show no fear and to top their level of confrontation. I’ve shaken a lot of men just by walking towards them as they follow/harass me. But also be hyper aware of weapons. Yeah. Anyway. Have a great day guys 🤍✨

That is great! I have always told my daughter to same thing, most people do not like confrontation so they tend to flee when their intimidation tactics fail. Boy, I'm not sure how socially acceptable it is to tell barely-related stories in the comments, but the way the girl in the last TikTok, where he busts into the room, just stared at him wide-eyed reminded me of when I was seventeen and working at a haunted house and one day one of the guests (a grown man) just jumped into my concealed hiding spot. Like, my part of the haunted house was sticking my hand spookily through a curtain and then, once the guests rounded the corner, screaming through a different curtain (because, as a minor at the time, I wasn't allowed to be out in the main space, lest one of them do something that could get my employers sued; I had to be kind of hidden away with walls and curtains dividing me from the guests). But then one night, after I'd stuck my hand through the first curtain, some guy just slipped in and stood there, blocking the only exit, and I was terrified. Fortunately, that was one of the few days when I wasn't alone in that spot; there was another employee there, and though he was facing the other direction and I was too startled to alert him that we had an intruder, he eventually turned and saw the guy and shouted at him to leave. The TikTok reminded me of the incident because I froze deer-in-the-headlights style a lot like the girl at the desk.

You should watch the show "Just for Laughs". It's a French-Canadian prank show and the pranks are all like... silly? One of them, they wait for someone to go into a port-a-potty and then quickly set up basically a board room around the port-a-potty, including a bunch of people in business suits. So when the person comes out of the port-a-potty it's like they're walking into a business conference so it's just like "...huh?" Nobody gets hurt, it's just silly and confusing for a second.

Oh yes. I would just combine every shocking twist in movies together until I have lead An action adventure horror thriller rom com life and accidentally reveal that I killed my ex-girlfriend who was a spy. Though then again, just telling this type of guy I have had a girlfriend (am female) would blow their minds, and seem shocking.

so even if these were real, they film themselves kissing a dude without his consent and breaking into some girls' dorm room for no reason and expect that to go over well?? It would frighten me so bad if 2 strange men banged on my door and broke into my dorm room that's a horror movie scenario
