Apparently his family said he suffered from mental illness. So if he's not functioning rationally anything is expected. She needs to blame herself for making a poor decision thinking that this man was going to be her Prince in shinning armor. Had she simply gave herself at least a year to date him she would have found all this out before she lived, laid with and got married. Any time you have to rush to be in a relationship that's always a bad sign. Take your time and date. No one can fake for long eventually you will learn the truth. DATING is NOT for sex. ONLY to gather data.
@daescoli
@daescoli 2 ай бұрын
@@rhemawilliams4983That’s not necessarily true. This man was a pathological liar who had been lying since he was a child. One year, 5 years, 20 years into the relationship, he would still be lying. This man has ex-wives before Reesa who could corroborate everything she said because he said similar things to them as well YEARS prior to being with her. When a pathological liar has set their target, they can play the long game and lie for DECADES with no end to it. It’s not so much about the timeframe getting to know someone, it’s more about how desperate someone is to be in a relationship. (And this is no shade to Reesa because she takes accountability for her part. Plenty of others can relate to her story.) Doesn’t take a whole year to hear the bs that someone is spewing when you’re able to acknowledge the red flags. But when you’re desperate, those “United Nations of red flags” as she referred to them, can still be there decades later and they’ll still stick beside that person.

Then one day, he said thst he heard from his doctor after a biopsy that he had stage 3 cancer and was going to chemotherapy. talking about how he in pain and speaking above a whisper. Only to discover it was all a lie when his fiance called asking who I was because she saw a text from me asking how he was doing. That fool had me coming to his house bringing him soup. @jackiegillyard758 Choosing to believe...when you bring a stranger to your house, to be pregnant with, and to marry shows desperation, let's be real here. You can't believe a stranger, you can't use believes to marry even her pastor told her that. That's being immature and desperate. She was tired at her age to not be married like others .Even herself said it multiple times, she said that she chose to ignore MANY red flags even before they got married but at least she has learned her lesson and is sharing it to other women because we know that plenty of women do the same because they're desperate. She is a reminder that being desperate for a marriage and act in a rush is not worth it, take your time to know the person and to investigate him and his entourage. In her case she was lucky in a sense that at least it did not impact her physically (obviously she was pregnant but she was not beaten) her career her finances... but we know that's not always the case.

@@jackiegillyard758yes she was desperate. Not like all of us at all. I'm not looking down on her, because we all have things we didn’t quite handle well in our lives, but don't downplay the situation and lump everybody in. I want love too. But I have hard boundaries and timelines I stick to before I consider even seeing someone longterm let alone marry them and procreate. I would rather be single than be tied to someone I do not know is worthy. And most people are not. Everybody should think that way lol. It's not conceited. These are rhe facts. There are people for whom I would not be a good partner and that's fine as well. Now if she had done all the right things and still got duped (possible) then fine. But I don't care hoe many people got successfully married after three weeks or three months, it's a bad idea in general and they're lucky. That's it. This man has a mental illness. And in life you'll encounter all kinds of people. The only constant is YOU. The only thing you can control is YOU.

@@michellealvarez8160 It was taught to you. You don't represent other females' knowledge. We were not all taught to protect ourselves. In fact I was taught to sacrifice myself instead. I decided that suffering from my own deeds did not fit with my character and began to unravel what I was taught. Still did not have anyone to teach me how to protect myself. I got into conflicts with important people in my life as I worked to do so. They were offended by my turn towards self preservation. It's not about intelligence, it's about access to that important information. To let other ladies know that they are worthy of protection. They should assert their safety and are not being mean to question others intentions. Intelligence is not a working value to individuals or society. Measuring it is unreliable because just because a person is not knowledgeable in something doesn't mean that they aren't capable of understanding it. When learning through teachings shared with us; that's the easy way. We also learn through experiences, that's the hard way. We don't all have adequate teachers or teachers adequate for every lesson accessible to us. Choosing to demean others for lacking information or resources and blaming them for the resulting vulnerability is not teaching.

My biggest lesson for me was give folks grace but walk away when your boundaries are crossed and expectations not met. I am not a Tik Toking person, so I didn't know about this story literally until yesterday (March 4th). I saw a video in cartoon form that explained what happened in 8 minutes (Black creator, and done Really Well!). Anyhoo, watching this interview with our hero Tamron Hall, I am struck by several things. One, that *Reesa is beautiful; not just outside, but Inside!!!* That is rare nowadays. *She is brave and inspirational.* I don't say that flippantly either. We live in an age when people can be so cruel, and I'm sure Reesa has received messages/comments from idiots who want to tear her down for "not seeing" the guy for who he was. But, *Reesa, I want you to know you are BRAVE for sharing your story!!!* Do you have even the slightest idea how many *MILLIONS of women (and Men, too!) whose lives will be saved because You Sharing Your Story Will Help Them Be More Aware?!!! YOU HAVE SAVED THEM, REESA!!!* And I want to make sure you know that. Girl, I'm typing this with tears in my eyes because I am so inspired and in awe of you for stepping up and allowing God to use you to save others. HE is turning those stumbling blocks into stepping stones, and I promise you right now, God IS preparing a table for you in the presence of your enemies!!! I love you. I am proud of you. And in my heart, I just adopted you as my new daughter!!! *Don't let what happened to you stop you from receiving the love God has for you.* When your Boaz comes, get a background check, and THEN trust it. 😁🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗

No judgement to ANYONE, cause I wouldn't want anyone to judge me. But I repeatedly asked one question: How do you continue to give someone chances that are NOT producing results. I truly think that if you have a feeling (which she had early on BEFORE SHE GOT MARRIED). She had the option and the choice to leave before things got too deep. But she didn't want to be alone and when you know what your dealing with, you get what you deal with. She chose to deal with someone who was NOT producing results. Love has nothing to do with it because you have to be careful who you share yourself with. People have to realize that being alone is not being lonely IF you fill your time with getting to know YOURSELF so that you KNOW what you have to offer someone who has something to offer you. No doubt, she is a strong woman. We were built that way. This is just an example of how far things can go if your not careful in protecting your space, time and heart.
