Not taking anything away from your observation but it could be the issue of this guy being a mukorokoza. Some of those artisanal miners have been through a lot and have seen the worst kumakomba uko. It could be that he did not want to report the case for sure and that he assumed since he had visible wounds the police would be able to investigate and arrest the perpetrators. He didn't know that when he walked out the culprits remained behind to try and cover up the murder to make it look like suicide. I believe the double barbed wire was meant to cover up the wound sustained through the stab by the knife. This guy only knew about that kumapurisa. The message he sent were a way of trying to confide in someone i think because the event was traumatizing him. So it could be that these three guys may be innocent after all. What is needed is for the other 3 guys to be brought in for questioning and compare their narrative with this gentlemen's.
