The focal point of the shower 🔥🔥 The shower niche 😃
Plan a day of work for this one.....
In this shower we wanted to miter the tile to wrap into the niche, avoiding the use of an edging. To top it off we had a piece of quartz custom made locally (handed a template of what we wanted)
Here are a few tips on the shower niche wall:
1. Be sure to allow the tile to come outside the shower a bit; this provides a nice look and room for the shower doors
2. Its always easier to build up a shower niche than to stretch it 😆 Use scrap pieces of backer board to make tile fit the way you want to
3. When mitering around a niche, try only to back cut against a factory edge, this will help prevent chipping
