Hi Ashley. I think the fireplace looks better your living room, and put the dresser back in the master bedroom. When you find a tv stand or another dresser to re due, I think the fireplace look great in the dinning room! It brings out your new table. Just a suggestion. Keep doing what you do, I enjoy watching your channel.

I love all your videos but I am amazed how Chase always helps you with moving furniture and wall hangings,etc! My husband would be done with it all if I wanted stuff moved more than once or twice! So kudos to Chase! ❤

I think you need a buffet/sideboard in your dining room that matches your table. Fireplace in the living room and dresser in the bedroom. It’s your house though so do whatever you like.

I would get a buffet for the dining room! Extra storage (you mentioned the house doesn’t have a lot of closets). And an extra horizontal surface to decorate. Another wall idea for the dining room is wallpaper.

Oh, THANK YOU!!! ♥♥ This is so much more calming to me! My shutters are back!! The dinning room is just that ... dinning. I don't think desks and big comfy chairs, all the other things fit. It becomes a multi purpose room with too much in the space. Obviously, my opinion. Many followers will disagree with me. The fireplace did fit well, because you see fireplaces in dinning rooms. But I do like it better in the master bedroom too. That's a better fit. I think the dinning room and your bedroom look perfect this way. Also, it makes more sense to put Chases desk in with your desk, it's the office. I know you call it your beauty room, but realistically, it's used for work. I just feel like this arrangement works so much better. Again, my opinion. You and Chase are so considerate of each other, and work well with each other, I felt like working in the same room wouldn't be an issue. I hope this week you'll love it as much as I do. ☺☺♥

What you need for the dining room is something like a hutch or buffet that is slim and higher and has maybe some mirror on it so it’s “glammy “

I love the idea of board and batten on the dining room wall. If you do that you won't need a piece of furniture behind your table at all. That will be enough. Then just get a beautiful mirror or wall hanging to go above where you stop the board and batten. Have a lovely Sunday.

Everyone is a designer of there own home they have an idea of what they want and also what they are comfortable with because our home is our peace place, you can take all the advice but you have to do what works for you and yes your family. I would say hearing all the advice can be good for one reason, it clarifies to you that you tried the suggested arrangements but look what it did is it gave you peace where you have your furniture now.! You will find what is going to work for your other spaces because you have that sense of WOW this feels right now, my home is back in order and I can move forward looking for what will work! where you are now the rest with come with ease . A good house is never done and that's what makes it fun to decorate, organize an have that itch to switch! Enjoy watching you Ashley!

You should try to find and old china cabinet and paint it. You can use it for all your Rae Dunn and it serves as extra kitchen storage!

I like the fireplace in bedroom best! It gives it more sanctuary feel. The dining room would look nice with a hutch or buffet/art work where the firplace used to be. Then the shutters could flank (hutch or buffet) on either side, maybe with small tables or carts under the shutters. Hang something green on each shutter to add some color, and bam, you're done. Whatever you decide I'm sure it will look great.

It all turned out beautiful! I totally understand the logic to the fireplace in the bed room BUT it looked so awesome in the dinning area. No worries though, you will be switching soon. 🤭🤣 have a blessed week! (I vote for a second fireplace)

I don't like to comment negatively ever, but i couldn't help but feel disappointed by the end of the video. The fireplace just made the dining room with the new table so exquisite. I think you'd be hard to find something that brings the right feel back there, even a nice China cabinet (which i love them btw) i don't feel will bring the same elegance to the space as it had with the fireplace. The shutters aren't right anymore. Maybe they would look good where the sign is on your outside wall above the old dining table? For the master, if you had a nice bureau there you could sacrifice one of the drawers or spaces inside to hold all the routers modems etc and drill a hole in the back for the cords to come through. Anyway, I hope my comments don't offend, whatever you end up doing I look forward to seeing your next itch to switch video. 😘😘

Listen, I know folks always say this or that looks better, but at the end of the day.... it’s your house and you have to make it work for your family. Look at the space and ask yourself, “Does this make me happy?” If it does , go with it, if not switch it up! 😂 Home is our happy place !👍

Chase is very patient with your itch to switch! My husband would've told me he's done after a while. I loved the fireplace in the dining room with the round table. Maybe consider getting a buffet table to go there along with doing the board and batten. The dining room isn't the normal Ashley glam that we're used to now. I definitely understand wanting to hide cords, I hate to show them too. Liking Chase desk in your beauty room as well. I know another itch to switch is coming soon because it didn't seem like you were satisfied with this one.

I love how things turned out. You are so amazing and I love your style. How you rearrange and always cleaning reminds me of my mom. She's been gone for almost 20 yrs but the itch to switch was her thing too and I got it too 😜. Another follower said Chase has the patience of Job and that's true. The whole house always looks great. Why not have your dad and Chase build a long console table that matches your outside table. One shelf for your gear and the bottom for 3 baskets to hide other stuff? Love the itch to switch. My husband is another story 🤣

I was team fireplace in the dining room, but I totally get why you like it in the bedroom. I think I even like the dining room better the way it is now. Lol I saw the shutters going back up and was like “NOOOOOOOOOOO” 🤣😂🤣😜😜 I do think board and batten would look fabulous on that wall and it is super easy to do. We did it to the outside of our house. Love watching you and everything you do. Can’t wait for your next itch to switch to see where Chase ends up next. I’m the same way I’m always moving stuff around. Your lucky you have Chase so willing to just go with the flow and help you move. I have to do it all myself cause my family gets irritated with the switching but I can help it I constantly need change.

I think the dresser is best in the bedroom. Modify the dresser - cut a hole in the back and remove the back of one drawer - place everything in there.

Try the fireplace in the living room until you get what you want and put the dresser back in the bedroom. You can open a bottom drawer from the back and slide everything inside and no one would ever know it wasn’t an actual drawer.

I’m so glad Chase didn’t end up having to work in the tub 🛀🤣🤣😉. I like the changes - at first I was nervous as to where everything would end up 😂😂 I feel like I decorate vicariously through your videos - but I hear you about the practicality of moving the pieces and I’m really looking forward to seeing that feature wall in the dining room come together. I think it’s so clever to do a feature wall in a space that can’t necessarily take a piece of furniture. Good thinking!! I love the fireplace in the dining room and the dresser in the living room. If you can, maybe find a new piece for your bedroom to hide the cords? 😁

I would remove the wreath that's on the shutters. It clashes really bad with the candle holders. Also remove one of the holders, when grouping things you should group in odd numbers because it's more pleasing to the eyes. Have you thought about grouping pictures in various sizes to display on the dinning room wall. Black and white pictures would work and add some smaller gold colored wall art.

Just a suggestion but I'd put the fireplace back in living area and move the dresser behind the dining table to use as a storage buffet.. Maybe hang those circle mirrors above it and two sconce with some pretty decor below. It's a beautiful piece that's always hidden hanging on that side wall of your dining space.. Then I'd put the two pretty accent chairs in your master bedroom. You could purchase some sort of closed in accent table to go between them to hide your router and modem.. Just a thought... I would still be on the hunt for a tall dresser to maybe put in Chase’s closet. Then you can still keep the fireplace there and the dresser for the living room. I also think the big mirror would look pretty hung up in the dining room like someone else suggested- I think it would add a little more glam to it instead of farmhouse. I’m always so impressed with how you make things work no matter what!!

I love the fireplace in your master. Try putting the router on top of the fireplace box in the back. The higher it is the better the signal. You always inspire me to have a positive attitude.

Hi Ashley. I have an itch every other week. I love your fireplace in living room with tv over it. Place the dresser in dining room and place the chair in bedroom with a little side table next to it or get 2 matching chairs with little table in the middle. Another idea place 2 chairs at foot of bed with tv just floating on wall. Just thinking.

The scratches on the floor by the island that can be seen when Chase is hanging the shutters 😬. I hope those came out!! The spaces look great this way! 👍

I agree with most that a fireplace would look better in the living room and buffet table of some sort in the dining room. The one thing I don't care for is the plastic wreath maybe a silk leaf wouldn't look so artificial sorry but that ma be just my opinion!

Hi Ashley Love the fireplace in your bedroom, understand the cord issue. How about two tall shelves for either side of the wall in the dining room, (Not against the side walls but about a foot or two off of them) And then you could hang a beautiful large brass or gold (even wrought iron) clock in the middle. That would give you two shelving units to decorate, you could do them white or paint them to match your island or table 😊

I’ve had shelves before in there and I didn’t love it. It was just more to clean and I like to keep the minimalist look. 😜
