that's the awesome thing about art it can make you think and challenge the way you see the world around you to many shows know don't do that

Not wanting him to be president shouldn't be taking a political stance, though. Do you want the president of your country to be someone who honestly suggests nuking hurricanes, injecting/drinking disinfectant, calls the leaders of nuclear powers "little rocket man" and pisses off every non-autocratic nation on the planet to the point where diplomacy is on ice during the entire administration? Someone who denies climate change, fights the result of a democratic election despite his own appointed judges, on 51(!!!) separate lawsuits, closing his cases for a lack of evidence? Someone who actively fights democracy that way is not a president, not a democrat nor a republican, he's just an attention craving toddler in the body of a grown man and unfit to be the leader of anything, let alone a country like the US. That's not an opinion, it's the sad reality.

@@lovelyscorp79 to be fair, they do give liberal viewpoints equal time. His daughter and son and law express liberal views alot. What's wrong with letting the audience decide right and wrong for themselves. Im Not putting you down. Not picking a fight. Just offering my opinion. His character is a staunch conservative on the show. So of course it makes sense for him to joke about Obama a lot and not Trump (or any other conservative President who may have won). Plus, his character has made jokes about other conservatives (Nixon and Romney to name a few).

@James i think you don't get the point of the show isn't to be conservative propaganda in response to liberal propaganda it ideally should be able to let the audience decide the Simpsons were masters of this as even though most of the writers were more left leaning they still respected there audience intelligence to give both sides of the argument and let the audience decide for themselves which view point was correct in fact one of the most beloved writers on the show was John Swartzwelder a stanch conservative who wrote some of the environmentalist themed episodes even though he was pretty anti environmentalism the reason so many fans have been turned off to modern Simpsons is because its become nothing but propaganda for the democratic party and many people are starting to see the same trend with last man standing but for the Republican party its called nuance and a lot of shows lose that the longer they go one its what the call flanderization ironically named after ned Flanders from the Simpsons who went from overly friendly neighbor who happens to be religious to a stereotype of evangelical culture the same seems to be going on with last man standing as it went from a show about a dad who happened to be conservative to just a show to "trigger the libs" with being anti pc which has turned off many fans of show at the end of the day people want entertainment that engages them politically or philosophically that doesn't preach to them its the difference between George Carlin and late night talk show hosts both are technically comedians but one engages you and invites you to think about how politicians manipulate you to think a certain way yes he was a lefist some might even say a far lefist but he wasn't afraid to go after both sides were as talk shows and even other great comedians like Dave Chappelle will monetize their audience with culture war BS and force you to pick a side i mean dave even said being canceled was the best thing that happened to him as he used the controversy to profit of his new anti pc image at the end of the day as carlin said its all bullshit and its bad for yeah any show that is trying to sell you a political agenda doesn't mater if its left or right wing is not worth your time find shows that challenge you politically that don't preach and know diversity isn't political just because a minority is in something doesn't mean the creator wants to make a political statement its more like hey this guy is different than you but there are people just like him out there just like you isn't that awesome ?
