We spent the last year with our son who had stage 4 oral cancer. While he was suffering, we read Tim's book on suffering which really put things into perspective. Our son passed away in early March. In going through his things we saw that our son had read other books by Tim. When we realized Tim was fighting cancer, it was encouragement to our son in his fight. God used this man in our lives and during a very critical time.

Praying for you & sorry to hear of the loss of your son. Words feel so shallow here but you are being lifted up. Have you read Tim Challie’s book, “Seasons of Suffering?” I’m about half way through it right now but I’d highly recommend that for you & your family right now.. he also recently lost his son & walks through that on his book & shared his heart in a way that has brought me to tears several times. He truly grasps suffering in Christ in a way that I have not found to be common, at least not in rural suburban, comfortable America that rarely experiences real loss in life. Praying for you to stay strong in this season of suffering. You and your family are never alone. ❤️🙏🏼

Tom, My heart is crushed reading this. Our son had stage four testicular cancer, and I know the hardship of walking through a cancer journey with a child. I’m so grateful that your son had the opportunity to read books by Tim Keller! I’m sure he would’ve loved to of heard that. Sending big HOLY hugs. Peace of Christ…👼🙏

I’m from a family of non-Christians. God used Tim Keller to help me understand the gospel more deeply and adore Christ more richly. It’s my privilege now as a physician to share that compassion, kindness, and hope with others. Tim Keller is truly one of the heroes of the faith.

I found this man when I questioned my faith, I found this man when I continued to experience failure, I found this man when I had difficulties as a husband, I found this man when I first experienced true loss, I found this man when I kept falling short, and I found this man when I hoped to understand the beauty of the Gospel and Christ! And each time he shepherded me ever so wisely, candidly, and gently only a Tim Keller could! Still can't believe how sad I felt for someone I had never met, but just goes to show you the testament of his impact on my life! Thank You Tim and Kathy and Family! #ThankYouTimKeller

I came to know Christ at 57yrs old, and I listened to anything and everything he put out. Intellect of Lion, the gentleness of a lamb. And a deep respect for ALL Gods people. I loved how people would say about him that he was the same on or off the stage. He had a wonderful ability to reach anyone with the simple/ complexity of the Bible. It was always Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! I am deeply upset at this news, but I know that all he worshipped he’s experiencing now. I pray for his family and for all those that knew Timothy Keller. God bless you for all ETERNITY!!

I have been a Christian for many years but I have never reflected on my Christian faith, walk, and life more deeply than the way Tim Keller's teachings have inspired me to. His spiritual wisdom and insight have changed the way I view and understand the Bible, and its impact on my life in more practical and supernatural ways than I could ever imagine. Tim's passing is indeed a loss to the faith community; a brilliant Man of God we will remember forever and what he has left us with is nothing short of God's divine goodness. 🙏

I don’t have social media, so I will share my #ThankYouTimKeller here. Tim would have no way of knowing that I - a 35 year old girl in Reno, NV who never met him - wept to see the news of his death, simply because I loved knowing he was in this world and am so sad he is no longer. He has been such a steady, faithful voice in my life and exemplar of what it is to adore Jesus, trust God, be deeply embedded in Scripture, and love the cities we live in with kindness, joy, beauty, and service. To be so smart, so well read, so “successful” by nearly every standard - and remain so humble. It was what consistently drew and endeared me to his teaching. As a regular “Gospel in Life”r, it amazes me that no matter when I listen or what the subject matter is, it hits me in a tender, specific spot. I reference him constantly and read he and Kathy’s “God’s Wisdom for Navigating Life” devotional each morning. (It’s fantastic.) Thank you, Tim Keller. You make me want to know and love Jesus more. No matter how disillusioned I get - either by my own sin and ridiculousness or the daunting, cultural chaos - you show me Jesus again. In a way where I see both my need for Him and His accessibility. And that gives me incredible hope. Whenever someone struggles with faith or the distorted image of what they think is Christianity, I always think, “You should listen to Tim Keller.” ♥️

I never met Tim, but, as many around the world, I was impacted by his testimony of life and teaching of the Word. The greatest lesson, among many others that Tim left for me, was that in every circumstance, in every moment in life and history, we should POINT TO JESUS as our ultimate savior and answer for life questions. Thanks Tim (and Kathy) for fighting the good battle till the end and for being a solid Christian model that is rare in these days. See you in Heaven!

Mourning the loss of Tim Keller! I have often joked that I owe Tim Keller thousands of dollars in counseling fees. I pray the Lord is paying him back in heaven now. When the Lord saw fit to crush me, the Lord used Tim's sermons to restore my soul and give me an eternal perspective. He challenged me to find my identity in Christ alone, not in my outward circumstances. I would turn his sermons on, and listen in the darkest moments. He was/is a true gift to the church and to this generation of believers. Due to his recorded teachings and books, Tim will be a blessing to many generations to come. I'm quite confident, that had I not had Tim's teachings over the years, I would not have become a Biblical Counselor as I am now. I praise God for Tim Keller's life!

What an articulate and humble bible scholar. He presented God’s Word in a way that captivated my heart. I was introduced to one of his books on Psalms about 10 years ago. Then during lockdown I was truly blessed with many of his teachings on KZfaq and on Premier Christian Radio in the UK. My heart sank on hearing about Tim’s diagnosis of cancer but trusted the Lord for a miracle. And our God did 🙏🏽 He blessed Tim with nearly two years considering the aggressive type of cancer that it was. Tim has touched many life’s with winsome expository of the Gospel. Absence from the body present with his Lord. Thank God for Tim’s life. Deepest sympathy to his wife, children and wider family. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

So much I could say about this man and how his teachings so impacted (and are impacting) my wife and me. I never met him. Never saw him teach in public. Yet I have listened so so many messages, read his books and experienced how Jesus used Tim to preach the TRUE gospel over and over again until it sunk into my heart and soul so deeply I will never be the same. So many people who have been gifted this way slowly let it go to their heads and they forget that their gift came from God. From all accounts Tim never let this power teaching gift become his identity and cause him to talk down to the people he was teaching. He taught with power yet humility and I don't believe I have ever seen someone with that degree of a teaching gift do that. We will all miss him so.

I never met Tim Keller in person. However through his teachings and sermons, God has used him to father me. I’m so thankful for his obedience and his love for Lord. Indeed he will be missed, but his teachings will inspire listeners to cultivate an authentic relationship with the Lord.

His sermons helped me get through a nervous breakdown and deep depression. Not to talk about the amounts of inspiration i found in his Love for God, and fascinating way of thinking. This one hurts deep, though i know he is at peace now. Might The mercy and Love of The Lord Jesus Christ and all His Angels receive him in Heaven.

Tim Keller's ministry brought so much richness to me about God and the Bible. He helped me to see the Bible as One big story all about God's redemption plan and how to live out the Gospel every day not just at the end of my days [death]

I started reading Tim Keller after my mom died. I was mad. as. fire! A friend took me to B&N for a book. I chose "A Reason for Faith" at a time that I wasn't sure if faith was reasonable. I read it quickly. It really helped. I learned that when platitudes ain't cuttin' it, see what Tim Keller has to say about it! His work was predictably insightful and inspired. He will be missed but his memory will be a blessing to 1000 generations! #ThankYouTimKeller

I first discovered Timothy Keller's ministry when a colleague handed me a book titled "The Reason for God" over ten years ago. As a Christian I liked his style of writing and then listened to his sermons on KZfaq recorded at Redeemer in NY. Tim Keller is so very different to most other pastors in that he not only shares the utter simplicity of the Gospel, but he sets it apart from the complexity of everyday life and modern thinking, like postmodern philosophy. Tim always pointed towards Jesus as the point of focus whereas countless frauds and self-righteous preachers point only towards themselves, while instilling fear and self-loathing into their congregations. This is not to say God doesn't use them, he exposes them eventually even though they preach from the same scriptures. Tim helped me in so many ways that I am reminded that as long as Tim spoke and wrote, and as long as I am able to speak and write, Jesus is affirmed in truth when he said, "Heaven and earth may pass away, but my words will never pass away." As long as we love the Gospel and bring it to unbelievers, we keep those words alive. THANK YOU SO MUCH TIM!!! See you again one day.

I am honestly very sad about his leaving but meanwhile feel so thankful to encounter P. Keller through all the teachings online. His great and deep interpretation of Bible guides me out of a lot of confusion especially in the difficult times. I regret that I couldn’t meet him in person but I do believe one day I will. He has left such a legacy to me and to the whole world. Thank you so very much Pastor Tim Keller.

I’ve read a number of books by TK as many of you have also. The first one I saw being carried around by others was “The Reason for God” and then when I moved to Memphis to go through Downline Ministires Emerging Leaders program we were instructed to read “Prodigal God” and later on my own I read a few others like “The Meaning of Marriage” “Jesus The King” “Preaching” “Galatians for You” and “Making Sense Of God” and maybe a few others. He words things very well in most of his writings. A very clear thinker. A student of C.S Lewis, as far as taking in his wealth of wisdom. He’s definitely made an impact on how I understand the gospel through his books and sermons. A lot of times in his sermons I would be caught off guard the direction he was taking the message and truly surprised how he always brought it back to the gospel. Amazing gift to his family and extended family (The Church) Thank you, Mr. Keller ✝️

We lost another one of the real gospel preaching shepherds of his generation. He truly loved God with All his heart, soul, mind and strength. And what a compassionate heart, thoughtful soul and brilliant mind he had. Sadly his strength ran out, but he leaves a wonderful legacy and a treasure of sermons wise sheep can glean from. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.
