Tim loses a $1000 bet to Digger as they battle to find out who makes the best moonshine. While Tim went for a classic, no-nonsense peach brandy, Digger made a flavoured creamy cherry moonshine made to appeal to women.

I wish I could have tasted that cherry shine. I still have 3 shots of his special cherry shine worth in a big ole canteen me and my grandma are saving for a special time. My papi loved everything cherry, especially his Australian cherry cigars. Man I miss him, RIP William E. Orton, DD 748 Harry E. Hubbard. Went to take a walk and talk with god on April 22, 2017.

@0:45 they got the RONA and after this episode everyone at tgat filming got it too... i have had it two times once in jan 2020 and again last month two weeks before the kids went back to school we all got it then... but that first round with covid almost killed me, it took 6 family members including my grandparents who raised me and my cousin, i think we took it harder than their own kids did.... If I could have friends like this to cut up with, id move a hair north as soon as I’m able to and live the rest of my days in the woods with a jar in my hand. Got some great family across WV, TN and some buddies in GA, but the only people I’ve learned about shining from are in NC. Good times have been spent around a fire

This was filmed in early 2019 so it wasn’t rona. You can have the same symptoms with a common cold because your sinuses are blocked which prevents taste. Also they were kinda just making up excuses lol

I was born in the mountains, (mom, dad, and I are all full bred hillbilly’s. My little brother and sister where born in Michigan. They’re not hillbilly’s, but have the smoky mountain blood in em) and my parents moved us to Michigan when I was 7-8 years old. We made snow cream all the time during winter. Wonderful, cheap, and delicious! That was 50 years ago. Thanks for that great memory! Live in Australia now (married a Aussie gal) haven’t seen snow in nearly 20 years.

Moonshine just means alcohol that isn't taxed, it can be anything.

@@rickyray2794 definition wise, its a spirit distilled illegally a liquer is a blended cocktail from a base spirit. So via technicality, digger made a cherry liquer, and mark made a cream liquer. Tim made peach flavored whiskey, and as he used the peaches in the mash, it's by definition moonshine
