Today a close friend of mine passed away on a motorcycle accident. I remained stoic and calm the whole day. And hearing this again after several years broke me down. He was supposed to come to visit us tomorrow, now it feels surreal and I'm still waiting for him to come visit us home. Thank you for the music that reminds us what is really important.

I'm here for you, this song struck very similar feelings for me. My friend Isaac was in a wreck with an 18 wheeler and had to be airlifted to a hospital The doctors didn't believe he was going to make it through surgery but he did and he was finally able to go home after a year I still haven't been able to see him as I live in a different state now, I know I really need to sometime soon

I feel like this song was made for me and that makes me wonder how many people had something similar happen to them. A few years ago I nearly lost my best friend in the world to a crash with an eighteen wheeler. The scene were she had to be airlifted to the hospital hit so hard as my friend had to be also. Tims McGraw's "highway dont care, but I do." , Describes the hopelessness of the situation paired with Taylors voice is so so haunting. "I can't live with out you, I can't live without you baby." Perfectly describes the feeling of not knowing if he was going to pull through. All the what ifs, all the guilt of not being there enough wishing I was able to take his place instead Miraculously my friend has been recovering beautifully when doctors once thought there was no hope My heart goes out to every single person who can relate to this feeling. You will get through it, I love you

I lost my only daughter in 2018 and this song touches me to the very core of my heart ❤️❤️❤️ my birthday is December 6th and she was pronounced deceased December 7th Pearl Harbor Day. And she graduated from Pearl high School.😢💔🙏❤️‍🩹❤️ She was airlifted to Saint Dominic Hospital and was put on life support. The highway doesn't care. Tim Taylor and Keith Perfect performance 🤌♥️🫶🤟👌

I’ve taken care of patients as I was on Trauma team ( a Nurse). People have no idea what it’s like to haves 90% Survival rate ( Severe Trauma) . Boy I actually knew some of the young adults using Cellphones, drugs , and drinking and driving, even knew adults. My hearts go out to their families truly and boy after code we feel like your life has been drained , Your numb and then we cry . We ALWAYS do our absolute best ( and prayed ) before we knew when the life flight patients came in adults , young adults, children. I believe Honestly it’s about teaching when your children are young . My eldest daughter now does Trauma Team and my youngest daughter is a phlebotomist and going to be studying Nursing. This song hit my heart ❤️ made me tearful, chills on my arms and the Words say it all . God Bless and Thank you Tim McGraw !!! Nursing is my passion , life is truly a gift and WE DO CARE 🙏❤️🙏💪. A Nurse always, Jennifer BTW Tim McGraw been following you since you started. I believe this song truly should be played more . IT MAKES PEOPLE THINK ( Plant that seed as we say in Long Island, N.Y 💪💪🙏🙏💔❤️)! Just a suggestion. Forgot to write this before. Keith Urban is another wonderful musician and Taylor Swift was wonderful in your video. Thumbs up to your Director and the young girl who played the victim. Amazing make up job . This road that Tim is walking on in the video is Station Camp Creek in Hendersonville outside Nashville. I walk it in the mornings a lot and cant help but have this song in my head when I do after seeing this video. Love it. Walked it this morning early and thought I was alone... I was belting out I cant live without you baby - there was a couple behind me about 30 feet back - I am sure I must have ruined the serenity of their walk LOL

I'm changing my comment. Since this video came out, texting & talking on a cell phone while driving is now against the law in my state. I don't know, but maybe this video had an impact on people's awareness of the danger involved. Initially I thought the video was too graphic. I changed my mind about that too. Thanks to Tim, Taylor, & Keith, maybe some lives will be saved. By the way, I love this video.

My second cousin wrecked on his way to work one morning and he was rushing. Luckily, there was someone who had passed him on the road and turned around to make sure everything was alright. Him and I weren’t close but I cried the entire service. RIP Austin

In 2010 I lost my neighbor Doug to a car accident. A tire came off of a semi trailer and went through his daughters driver side window and killed him instantly and injured his daughter. I still think of him a lot because he was a big father figure for me. Every time I hear this song it makes me cry because it makes me think of Doug.

I've always said, all i need is my car, a full tank of gas, a long stretch of road & some good music..... but after fully listening to the lyrics to this beautiful song 2yrs later I jus got hit in the face with reality ...
