This song was written by Lori McKenna in May of 2014 (by herself) who is Nashville's top songwriter. She wrote the song to reflect the life and way she wants her kids to grow up.

"Don't say it if you don't mean it" is so on point. I've had women that were temporary, but it was mutual. Business women. Women with careers who didn't want a husband. I never lied to a woman. I never told her I loved her if I didn't. Sometimes a woman just wants a friend.. sometimes she wants a lover.. but it's never ok to pretend you're going to be a husband if you aren't.

It is a ballad love song written by David Lee and Tony Lane. This track was recorded by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The duet made was released in August 2007 from their album Let it Go.
