One thing about the amp-cab-switcher. Take an Ampete or a KHE instead the Kahayan… we tried to contact them, personally and by the shop, no answer. And not just one time. So we ask things to ampete and KHE, and finally get their products.

I think it's mindblowing that a unit like a helix or a quad cortex can replace everything in this setup (maybe not perfectly but at least 90%). In financial terms, this means 1-2000 bucks vs 100.000+ bucks
@Xenozenomusic

Save on the workflow and setup, but it's never as inspiring as when you need to hit anything dynamic especially when Tim digs in, there's still the rawness and direct feedback that models miss out IMO.
@SuperPol1981
@SuperPol1981 6 ай бұрын
@Xenozenomusic that thing about digging in not being as responsive on modellers is simply not true. Not on the recent quality stuff anyway (helix, keeper, axefx etc).

@@SuperPol1981 I have a Helix, it's still not as inspiring as my Mark V:25. If i connect the Helix to a real FRFR cab it gets closer, but still not physically inspiring, my opinion anyway, i'm still resigned to using the Helix for live workflow.

The line mixer makes me wonder if he's done anything to make sure the mics are synced to be precisely the same distance from the speakers. Sound travels over 7mm during one sample at 48k. It might not seem like much be start shifting two identical tracks by single samples. It gets weird fast.
