I loved him,he had it all,the charm, good looks, and drove tge heck out of a race car,he lived more than a person dying of old age.He was my man on the race track and I loved him so much,he made watching so exhilarating,I have fond memories of hollering for him every Sunday surrounded by my family.I have a brother that was Ernhardt all the way,a brother that was a Darrell Waltrip fan and my daddy pulled for Bill Elliott,my husband pulled for Bobby Allison,so we were a diverse group lol

@Matt Beeman The chances that he got it from heterosexual sex are extremely low, about 0.004% per the CDC. He might have been with women on occasion, but judging by how he carried himself and his background (doing aerobics in the 80's and going to an all boys boarding school) the far greater likelihood is that he preferred the company of men. Thus, getting a shot of AIDS up the rump.

@@ralex3697 Karen Beasley (former Wake Forest Cheerleader & Miss Winston N.C.) died of AIDS related complications in 1982. Also, still alive is LeGena Lookabill Greene (actress turned spiritual motivator and currently married to actor Daniel Greene of Falcon Crest). LeGena indicated that Tim Richmond infected her in September 1986, which even Tim's mother has stated that he knew was HIV+ in that same year.

More and more convinced Tim Richmond was a gay guy. Just because he was with girls, doesn't mean he wasn't with guys also. Many gay people play both sides for different reasons. He lived a very promiscuous life. Never wanted to just be with one person. Very unlike many NASCAR drivers. He wasn't very straight up with other people and his condition. Makes me think he wasn't straight up about being gay also. Saying he got the virus from some unknown girl didn't really make sense. If they don't know the girl, how do they know it was a girl? Not trying to be offensive, if he was he was. Just the way it sometimes is.
