Too big for the division?This is something that has become a common statement on the boxing threads the last year or so, as if implying a cheat. Surely if you can make the weight, you're not too big for the division? Should before the day weigh ins be changed back to on the day? It was changed for health reasons, but more and more we're seeing re hydration limits which could be the answer. I take some heart in knowing that those fighters that regularly boil themselves down early in their career almost always pay for it in the back end where they sometimes have to skip a division because their body just does not like cuts. As for Boots, he can't be serious about fighting Spence and Bud when they can fight each other. I am certain if Boots and Virgil Ortiz were Brit fighters they would have already fought each other for the domesticate title

Did you see the interview on - i think ProBox - with Harrison. He said that in camp he'd made a mistake when he prepared for Tszyu's power with heavy handed spar partners because it was Tim's speed that he wasn't prepared for. Apparently Mendoza is preparing with quick sparing partners. Anyway i think Tszyu should win but this is by FAR his biggest test. Much bigger than Harrison, as Mendoza is not only prime but in great form. And he is a good counter puncher. Tim has great reflexes and timing, great shot selection and he's got almost all the punches to choose from but he tends to let them go in ones and twos which is a problem given that the traditional beat for counter punching is combo punching

That's an extremely uninformed opinion. Tim has a wide variety of styles he has showed a high lvl of competency and comfort using. He can switch up his methods and adapt to changes almost instantly. The only way you will ever see Tim's true level of skill is when someone good finally challenges him.
