Hes brilliant. Even when he says a rubbish joke, it just shows what a class act he is to dare to do it in the spirit of laughter. Someone compared him to Tommy Cooper on here, and while he might not be quite that, the comparrson is more or less spot on. So nice that we have someone who still dares to do the classic clean stuff

My comedy tastes are broad, but I really enjoy Tim because it is what it is, confidently and delightfully so, and is able to be enjoyed and shared so fully. Nothing crude, nothing so specifically regional it's not able to be understood. I'm an unlikely convert to one-liners and bad puns. Fantastic!

I remember seeing him live about 1994, and he did pretty much the same routine, give or take 2 or 3 jokes. But its all down to the timing, and in that respect like Tommy Cooper, he's superb.

Only just found this old clip of Tim Vine but he's as great as usual. 😂 Tim Vine and Milton Jones are my favourite comedians as they're both so wonderfully and innocently funny without resorting to the same kind of cheap humour that so many other comedians rely on (foul language and / or cheap, easy and hackneyed insults aimed at the same politicians, royals, celebrities, etc).
@petercroft28043 жыл бұрын
The first reason that Tim Vine is so good must start with an excellent grasp of the English language, his ability to link two meanings from one word or a phrase in a funny way. Secondly his timing is " second" to none, and last but not least his facial expressions, all In all a National treasure.
@onewithsource97423 жыл бұрын
You'd also love Stewart Francis - a one liner spectacle
@philh52923 жыл бұрын
@@onewithsource9742 Thanks. 🙂 Yeah, I do really like Stewart Francis as well. And Gary Delaney to a lesser extent. Those two do a bit more swearing, sex jokes, and personal / political humour than Tim Vine and Milton Jones, so I prefer Tim and Milton above all others. But, yeah, Stewart Francis is hilarious as well and is probably my next favourite.
