3-5 years from now I’m going to show this song to my mom. When I’m successful from having a family and she couldn’t defend me all these years from the bully in our own home, left me defenseless and showed me multiple times that she doesn’t care about me. It’s too late to apologize. I’m only 16. Apparently I’m the daughter she never wanted but wanted but didn’t care enough to stand up for me. Shame on you mom. It’s too late now.

That’s really sad but you should try to forgive her!
@piperann959510 ай бұрын
hey there, i know it's hard when you've got family stuff goin on and feelings toward your family like that. but you should forgive and forget. or forgive and remember, but either way, forgive should be in your mindset. you have no idea how much forgiveness can affect your life and how many blessings it can bring. from teen to teen, in the future we will both realize how much it can turn around our world ❤
@harperseven88204 ай бұрын
Hi there, this is from an actual adult to you. I went through the exact thing with my mom. She was like slow poison- so for the longest time I didn't notice how she was abandoning me and neglecting me because from when I was a little child, she always said the worst things about my dad, the world and the people so I'd only trust her and made me believe she is a saint. (Not that my dad was a good person, he was never around so I never really knew much about his real personality and always used to day dream about him "saving me" some day but he cheated on my mom, blamed it all on her and left us for good until I was about your age (16) when he had a son from his new marriage and wanted someone to take care of him and so took custody of me to help out- and then abused me for 2-3 years after). I was pretty isolated from everyone around me as a result and every time I tried to mingle with people and something went wrong between my friends and me- my mom used to come out of the shadows and be like "see, I told you, you should never trust people. You can't trust anyone but me". And if I ever had proper trustworthy friends, she used to try and cut them off from my life at times. But she wasn't there for me either- especially with the whole family issues and things, I had to deal with them alone. I struggled with sleep issues and nightmares of being abandoned and neglected by her for years after I moved out and used to wake up feeling suffocated, gasping for air and crying. I am also the daughter my dad apparently never wanted. It hurts. Yes it hurts, I know. And I still forgave and loved them like the other commenters have mentioned- because these are the first people you meet when you enter this world. Your parents need to accept you for you to feel accepted so I lost all my boundaries in the process of hoping to be loved and accepted by them but they never did. I am telling you, it is okay to feel resentment. It is okay to feel angry. I am 23 now, and it took me this many years to feel angry and resent them for what they did to me back then. Your anger is valid, it shows that you are finally stepping up for yourself. YOUR ANGER IS THE SIGN OF SELF-LOVE. The love that should've naturally developed from experiencing it from your parents as a child. And your anger is also, the first step to forgiving them, forgiving yourself, and for cutting the cords that are holding you back. I am so proud of you! You are doing amazing. Forgive your mom after all your anger. You will reach that place someday, maybe even soon. Don't completely forget if her behaviour has been consistently bad- you don't want to have your heart broken again. You will be free. Everything gets better with time. Sometimes even relationships. When you are in your 20s, if you feel like you do not want to interact with your mum because she is still toxic, move away. Your 20s will be rewarding, trust me. Things may look dark now, but someday, you will meet people who genuinely love you. What your mum said to you about not wanting you is complete B.S. You have a purpose on this planet and I am happy you are alive, and so will every person that meets you in the future. In 3-5 years, you won't come back to this song. And even if you do, you will probably not remember that you need to show this to your mum because you would have met a lot of other people, friends and would have moved on enough to the point your mum's words would be completely powerless to the point they're non-significant in your life by then. Praying
@harperseven88204 ай бұрын
Also ask your mum about her mum. You will probably get to understand the child inside of her and what she went through and why her adult self treated you the way she did. It does not make her actions right, it just simply helps you forgive her
