The only thing that's "Time Bandits" about this is the title.

..the last thing left from my childhood just died, they destroyed my heros, today's world has no imagination, so they continously grab what worked before, but they look at it with their eyes, senseless and can never fathom the original concept, and then it dies,, flops and fades, like all their other stuff, Long Live Randall, Wally, Fidget and the gang, Terry Gilliam's message was always about the danger of bureaucrats in charge of imagination🥀

This feels...wrong. Time Bandits is one of the few movies (great movies) that stars a bunch of little people. This kinda feels like they are dismissing that, therefore dismissing them...

I deadass love the Gilliam og. My entire life, I have ref'd this film and blamed time bandits for any missing belongings. I also love Clement & Waititi so when I tell you that, if they screw this up I will leave harsh criticism on RottenToms so hard, I mean it wholeheartedly!!

A fantastic movie..brilliantly written, cast, acted, and filmed. No way they could mess this...40 seconds.into trailer...oops!

Mixed feelings. The original is a classic and this, at least from the brief trailer, doesn't feel like it hits the mark. Kudrow feels like an odd choice and I'm worried it will be full of cameos like everything seems to be these days. I'll give it a try but the film is a very hard act to follow.

Ok, so I was worried at first, but this could be a wonderful addition to the Time Bandits universe - so to speak :)

I hope it's just the way the trailer is edited, but something about it felt lifeless and tired.

The standard response to anything today is to complain about it before you even give it a chance. I plan on checking this out. I loved the movie, which is why I will give this a shot. I expect this to be different. It would have to be. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad. Once I actually watch the show, then I can complain if it was bad. Apple TV has a decent track record, so I'm hopeful.

The original Time Bandits was a fun ride of a movie!! One of my GenX childhood favorites!! The little folk made it great! This...just doesn't feel right for a remake. I see a few nods, but I'm not feeling the movie. Not even having a single little person in the Bandits is a slap to those of us who enjoyed the original. I'll probably watch it, but I'm expecting to be bored like most remakes

Wow, another bastardization of a classic film. Nothing about this looks amusing or even funny. Let's change everything that made the original movie fun and engaging, especially the main cast of little actors and make them generic adults that don't even fit their roles whatsoever. Not once did this make me laugh, just cringe. Comes across like an even worse form of Amazon's destruction of the "Rings" stories. I'd like to see Terry Gilliam's reaction to this travesty. When every set looks like a CGI green screen situation, you know the budget was garbage. The total lack of creativity in Hollywood now is astounding. All they can do is remake and reboot beloved films and TV shows, only worse. Everyone needs to ratio these previews into the ground. Those saying this looks amazing and great clearly have never seen the original film, and have no desire to enjoy good entertainment since they think this is excellent. Seriously, nothing about this comes across as entertaining, unless you just want background noise while doing something else.
