@@kvin9210 Yeah I know (atleast I got HP OMEN laptop - i7 7700HQ + GTX 1050 Ti 4GB + 16 GB RAM equipped), that would likely run on PCSX2 (yet with either minor/major stutters, of course during the long run). But I'm just more interested to wait for the arcade version (in MAME) to be emulated in the future. Just be patient a bit, and we'll see about it.

@@TASTomusan MAME will probably not be able to play it properly anytime soon because the arcade hardware used some custom chips for time crisis games. Maybe in a decade or so.

But for me, I still won't lose hope (that I also actually have higher hopes to do so) enough to wait for some years to come, whether any "phenomenal" or "miraculous" updates on some System 23 games (plus the Gorgon System [22.5] - only Final Furlong series were there) or there's anything but "tiny" from the devs out there. Well unless, if there's someone who is/are *"former Namco or Bandai-Namco employee(s) [whether in Japan or outside Japan regardless] that involved during the development cycle of both Gorgon and System 23 + Evolution 2 games and its vital source(s)"* - that are able and willingly to help and to fully understand how seemingly and semi-impossibly complex are/were, plus, to somehow "answer some of the crippling issues" (even the slightest ones) to get along with them (MAME devs or outsourced developers from those arcade collections) either having such risks or not, since nobody knows yet. That also includes the PS2-embedded systems (246, Super 246, 256 and Super 256), as I might think that it's more than a decade - still wandering all about the programming flow and "finding the rabbit holes" to be perhaps, playable even if it's "too preliminary yet". For the meantime, let's not really bother these kind of issues we experienced these days (meaning, let's watch some videos like Smraedis Arcade Superplays did in this game so great to watch it for yourself - and then let's imagine ourselves playing the game with only our childhood hands for real, just like in a combat simulation exercise/practice), until for such time enough that they'll even release their own official announcements from MAME (and then testing whether there are certain progresses or not yet still), since we also don't know exactly when.

Really? I didn’t know that! Imagine how it would have looked if the game was ported to the PlayStation. I do agree, time crisis 2 is a good port on the PlayStation 2.

@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade yeah. Namco was nuts to even try to port this to the PS1. I think once they got the development kit for the PS2 and saw it's graphical power; they went on that route.

@@kvin9210 yep, even time crisis 3 uses the same engine that time crisis 2 (PlayStation 2)uses. Kinda bummed out that Namco didn’t release an updated version of the original time crisis as the PlayStation version was kinda terrible.

@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade yep. The PlayStation version of time crisis 1 was downscaled in resolution and polygons, and had only 30fps (instead of 60fps of the arcade version). But the PS1 version has all the game modes and an additional side story as well. It was considered a technical achievement to port a light gun game almost arcade perfect to the PS1 (of course there were sacrifices, but it was the closest thing to the arcade experience at that time).

They were also gonna port it to Dreamcast but it got cancelled because of it's failure

@@kvin9210 Gameplay wise it's kinda the same (at least main game wise), but graphics? Honestly it's on how you want visual clarity. The arcade version does well with making enemies stand out against the background.

It took me until early 2023 to finally play Time Crisis 5 on Timezone arcade at a mall. There, if you get a gold card you can have 1 free play and Platinum gives you 2 free plays so that's good

But it's a bad thing they changed the graphics :(

@@kvin9210 I prefer the simple look artistically. Sure things like the texture and model quality is objectively better, but I like the colours of the arcade version compared to the drab PS2 version.

The foot pedal connector has a wire that bridges and determines which player you are. Since Time Crisis 2 and Time Crisis 3 use the same Namco V185/V291 Gun I/O pcb, shorting pins 2 and 4 on the foot pedal connector trigger player 2, disconnecting it will be player 1, I have soldered on a flip switch so it can be easier for me to play which ever character. I will do a video explaining all the “Crisis” arcade setups. Time Crisis 1-4, Point Blank 2, Vampire Night and Crisis Zone.
