Hell yeah man! I love these trucks! After doing much research and talking myself out of a turbo Silverado, I bought a 3.5 ecoboost F150. It’s running E85 making 600hp. The 5.0s are insane but costs a lot for the performance. The 10R80s are AMAZING. They can be built to hold insane power and handle a good 800hp stock. Gonna be an awesome build to watch.

Gen 3 coyotes in those trucks are a damn solid engine definitely oil pump gears and a nice catch can will help a lot if you plan on running 700+ which I’m sure you will you’ll more than likely have to throw clutches in the trans those 10r’s and take a lot of abuse stock 💪🏻

from what I have researched in the past. By looking at the rear cover, that is a 9.75 rear diff. They may have a electronic locking diff. The other diff that they come with is a Super 8.8 that came out in 2015. It was built to handle the higher horsepower of modern vehicles. And also it has interchanging parts with the Mustang.

coyote engines are beastly with boost, I have a 2018 mustang GT with a 2.65 tvs supercharger on 12 psi I ran 6.55 122 mph with a shitty 1.68 60' in the 1/8 mile

And I might be wrong but I believe it sits higher in the back for when you pull trailers it levels the truck out instead of looking like a dog dragging its but!

A few things. Youre going to want a program called Forscan. it doesn't do performance modifications but you can edit just about anything else on the truck from daytime running lights to disabling the start stop. The sport package on the F-150 is all cosmetic. Third, these trucks either came with an open differential or an electronic Locker which disengages at 25 mph. You're definitely going to want a locker. Lastly, anybody can drop in a V8 and make power. If you want to go outside the box build a 3.5 twin turbo to keep up with these people. Call up Brew City Boost.

You need to look into helion hidden turbos. They put the turbos down by the transmission. On top it looks stock. Over 900 to the wheels on 12 lbs of boost.

I installed Caltracs by myself in my driveway, using a sledgehammer to swap bushings... easy! I used a grinder to cut the head off the bolt next to the gas tank. Hope you like a squeaky truck. Caltracs squeak like crazy after a few miles.

I am a former ford technician for almost 20 years. The point of telling you that is if you look on the tag on the rear cover will tell you the gear ratio and if there is a L it’s limited slip. They usually put two tags on it to tell you it takes synthetic oil.
