I just got rejected after an assessment centre and I thought I had a chance. It really was a blow because I genuinely like the company. A little hard to push through but it’s all good. Thanks for sharing.

Ask questions around their experiences and long term opportunities - what opportunities are available after qualifying as an ACA? Questions like that show you’re committed

Salaam, I just had a quick question, I’m doing a level 3 apprenticeship and I was speaking with the other apprentices that have been there longer than me and they said they haven’t been given the opportunity to do accounts they’ve been doing VAT and PAYE for over a year. Is this normal? or should I consider moving firms after a few months? Jzk

Wa alaykum as Salam I wouldn’t recommend it moving after a few months may not be perceived well also no point in a firm training you up to only make you do vat returns - so I’d stay at the current firm for now

Salam brother, I'm 18 thinking of applying for AAT after A levels. There are AAT's in both auditing and accounting. what is the difference and which is better? thanks

Wa alaykum as salam there is only one AAT qualification - do you mean apprenticeships in audit and accounting?

@@FehzanMehdi it is an "Audit school leaver programme" by grant Thornton. In the description it says "in your first 2 years you will work towards completing AAT, moving to ACA over next 3 years.

Wa alaykum as Salam technically yes you become a chartered accountant however most people refer to CIMA as Management accountants - doesn’t mean they’re any less it’s just the focus of CiMA is more on management accounting

Wa alaykum as Salam I’ve recently answered this question being an accountant isn’t haram but can be when you work / deal with impermissible. This is not a simple yes or no answer therefore best to speak to a person of knowledge.

I’d recommend checking out the interview playlist on my channel - there’s videos on interview tips there but main points are make sure you won’t be disturbed, check your internet connection, good lighting, prepare answers for competency based q!
