Mine are almost 2 months old and they are still tiny with only male flowers. I bought this Kellogg's soil from home Depot, and I've been telling everyone not to get it. It was the worst I had to restart everything in Miracle gro soil. My plants are four times the size now after 3 weeks then they were after 2 months in that soil. But I left the cucumbers and squash alone. They are still small. 😢

May I ask where you live? I live in the Pacific Northwest and it has been much more cold and wet than what is normal. Then we had a streak of record heat for spring for about 2 weeks but still was pretty cool at night and now, for us, it is very wet but especially cold for the northwest and my plants are truly suffering. I just do container gardening for my vegetables and they look so sad compared to other years. So that is why I was interested in where you are writing from!

@@0dollarsdown82 Nice!! i have like 10 cucumber plants growing right now, but they're only like 8 to 12 inches tall with 6 or so leaves so far. I cant wait until I get to where you're at with your plants! i have a bunch of different vegetables growing too, gardening looks boring, but its definately fun, especially if you can actually get them to grow😅

I made the mistake of taking mine out of its starting pot after the first set of true leaves and uppotting them to pots that are a few inches larger. Now they’re outgrowing those pot! I’m gonna transplant them to their final home this weekend. They all have about 4-5 true leaves growing.

I'm bout to start mine now here in the mid West, have watched some great videos on KZfaq from a guy in Jersey and one in North Carolina on the do's and don'ts of planting from seeds and transplanting.

Yellow leaves mean Nitrogen deficit (in a general case; may be the lack of water or sunshine or an illness). Check your dosage or try another fertilizer, i personally like to spray the leaves with it directly for a fast result instead of watering. Cucumbers are expressive, they show you what's wrong instantly, good luck!

They need a feed of Nitrogen before fruit set. I feed mine with blood fish and bone , and when i first pot them i use egg shells i have made into a powdered form in a liquidiser.
