This whole song feels like your way too high at the drive though with friends just trying to make words, get any kind of food they have, and get the f**k out of there. I love the over indulgence of everything, and the ridiculous food concoctions these places need to keep pumping out so we continuously fill our roll as consumers. “Perusing the entirety of side 2” Perusing means “to read something, typically in a thorough or careful way” The menu has 2 sides (left & right) and he’s so hungry he’s reading the entire menu. That’s my interpretation

The very first thing I t thought of when he said "had to slip into the flight suit," was him just getting into some batman-esque suit after getting ejected from his car so he can get over everything and get to the drive thru line first

I think he's mostly pro drive-through food with this song. I'll try to break down the chorus: "I was at the drive through, Playing hooky from the wild goose" He's escaping something that's bothering him, or perhaps just the goose chase of every day life. "Losing minutes in the time loop, I had planned to slide thru" He thought it would be quick but it ended up taking longer than expected. Common occurrence for drive thrus in NY I imagine. "Seen the signage in the side view, Had to slip into the flight suit" Not sure about the flight suit. Maybe because parachute attire is really loose, which would be comfy if you were to eat a lot of food and be bloated. "At the drive thru, at the drive thru, Perusing the entirety of side two" I assume he means that he's been in the lineup so long that he's finished the B-side of an album. Could also mean exploring other sides of himself, since he's been left with his thoughts for so long. "Musta been a hundred high noons" High noon is twelve o'clock-lunch time. He might mean that it's felt like 100 lunch times have passed since he's been in the drive thru. 30-40 minutes in a lineup can feel a lot longer. At first glance this song has nothing to do with technology, but really it takes a lot a technological advancement and infrastructure to even make fast food restaurants feasible. Plus Aes just likes food.

“Musta been a hundred High noons” and the chorus in general is more literal than you think. He’s just saying he’s high on weed and drawn back to the nefarious convenience of fast food for lunch “high noon” and its made-up-language of abominable food fusions. High noon is also often paralleled in old westerns in regards to a shoot-out duel in the middle of town. It’s just the time of day that the sun is highest in the sky, which is often 12:00pm. Eg. Lunch. He’s dueling the drive thru. I dunno.
