that's what free speech is about. Free speech means that you can say what you want. And usually speaking has the clear intention to influence people to the better or worse. Free speech is not about the things you want to hear. Free speech is about the things you don't want to hear. A good example for free speech is Bill himself. back when the Irak war started he got into trouble because he was "part of the fifth column" by saying what the world said that didn't want the big pay check from the US for sacrificing their citizens in a useless war. I enjoy Tiktok but thats because I got onto it during the pandemic when I had a lot of free time and after a while the algorithm was able to create a really customized feed thats shows me what I like - mostly memes, random facts, army stuff, cute dogs, clips of shows I might be interested in, and a bit of news. But if I had only gone on the app for like 5 minutes once a week then I'd probably hate it too because originally my feed mainly consisted of narcissists, snowflakes, furries/femboys, and girls dancing while wearing 5 pounds of makeup.

People have always had an image of themselves that they've perpetuated--it's just easier to do it on social media. There are a fair amount of positives to social media, but it's like pharmaceutical drugs--while there are benefits, there are definitely potentially severe side effects if abused. Humans are just terrible at controlling themselves.
