I have been watching this stuff for over 25 years now. It must be good.

Time Team sets the bar really high: entertaining, educational, full of characters, just brilliant. The difference between watching this and the sort of silly "evidence of aliens building the pyramids" sort of thing is so enormous. The program shows you how proper archeology, research and history is done: with learning, expertise and dogged determination. And it's very funny at times: "What does he mean by the analogue method?" "I don't know, but he was looking at me when he said it." Brilliant.
