Chrissy, Have a vet., check Winston. The vet may surprise you with their findings. If you home Winston, and you later have a litter of piglets and they're the same in size, color, and patterns then you've rehomed Winston for no reason. I know this would sit heavy on your heart.

I fully agree with this decision. Another channel runs a rescue including 7 pigs and they neuter any male mammal animal. (Birds and reptiles lay eggs so no hatching) They take it to the vet (their vet knows them and if they say sedation needed the vet trusts them). Most recently they neutered a 4 year old fox that was rescued from a “fur farm”. Call your vet I know that you have one and seems like you should be able to get him to go to a vet and save the house call money. It’s like any guy recommended to keep away from females for around 6 weeks before all swimmers die.

Hun, we had hundreds of large whites. They lived on 200 acres completely fee to be pigs. All pigs 🐖 are very sweet of loved and looked after. We live in New Zealand. When we were younger we had ducks and chickens everywhere. Miss the country lifestyle. Now we're older and have serious health conditions. Make the most of what you have. Don't rehome your baby. Put him in and area away from the girls. We pray 🙏 you can keep him. 🙏 XOXO ❤❤❤❤

The appearance of the Kune is almost like a character in a cartoon. They are covered with hair not bristles like other pig breeds. This hair can be straight or curly and either long or short. The color can include black, ginger, brown, cream, black and white, or any combination of the previously mentioned colors. These colors can also have wild patterns on the pig.

Isn't there a way that a vet can truly tell if Winston is intacted? My heart is breaking for you. ☹ You mentioned having him fixed now, it's worth asking the vet those type of questions.

First, I'd have the vet check Winston to see if "things" are still intact. Then if they are, take care of it. If not, keep him in a separate pen. Rehoming Winston really isn't a great solution, he's grown accustom to the others as well. It would be pricey, but testing the piglets would answer questions as well. Not all piglets look like the parents either. Love ya'll ❤️

Get Winston fixed. They fix dogs that are that old , i'm sure they can fix him . And he looks like he good company for the other pigs and babies .

Hi Chrissy! What a horrible dilemma to have. A couple things are mentioned here in other comments. I would definitely have him looked at by the vet. If he was not neutered then I would have a long conversation with the people you bought him from who assured you he was. They should be responisble for their actions. Second, if it comes back that he was neutered and you still believe those babies are his maybe take one that has stripes to be tested. You do not need to test all of them, at least I wouldn't. You are so sweet with you animals and Winston clearly loves you just as much! I am praying this will work out so that you can keep him.

I’m team Winston can’t u just get him fixed so he doesn’t have leave? Your his home I’m sure you can find a vet that can do it. I luv all the piglets the black and white ones are my favorite. If I lived in the country I’d give him a home. I hope u can find a dr that will do it. I’m gonna have to investigate on pig knowledge from some of my other farming friends. I hope he gets to stay home. Team Winston!!

Hmmm… I’d see about neutering Winston. Pigs are highly intelligent, and rehoming him will cause him emotional stress. He will have no idea why you are rejecting him. It would be worth the cost of neutering to have him and you continue your relationship.

Oh NO! Not Winston. You can get him neutered. I don't think there is a age limit, but the cost is higher. Hope you will be able to keep him. My heart goes out to you and Winston. Love you guys.

Chrissy, I know that you love and cherish all of your animals. Is there any way that you could separate Winston from the other pigs if the vet can't neuter him? If I were you, I'd have him vet checked to see 1 if he is even fertil and / or 2 if he can be fixed. I know how much you love him and he loves you! I'd hate for you to remove him and then find out he's not even fertil. Just my opinion. Good luck, Chrissy!! ❤

What type of pig is Winston? I would not try to neuter Winston. I watch Sneads farmhouse, and she has a big old Cooney Cooney that she loved but she needed to neuter because the female was a very bad mother. The vets will tell you it does not go well with sedating adult males. They do not do well under anesthesia at all. I thought surely her pig was going to die and so did she. He made it barely but it was touch and go. Can’t you have the vet do a scan? he should be able to tell you if there are testicles in there or not.

Honestly getting rid of winston wouldnt be an option if it were me so many other things you could do like move him and your meat pig out when females are in heat or have him checked by a vet one of his testicles could have gone inside its your place so your choice but youve had him that long it seems cruel to just get rid if him.
