Before i went to Iraq via US Marine Corps i thought i knew how to defend and go on offensive, fighting whether it was mma or streets, and this was before joining the Marines. I joined the Marines at 26yrs of age, why? Well i felt life for me was just going nowhere and it was the same mundane day to day living....My father wàs a Marine for 31 yrs and I guess i wanted to give him a gift of my enlistment into what he considered the best of the best..... Well let me say this War is real! Fighting in a cage, streets, competition fighting, none of it can prepare you for what i was going to find out for myself. I had never been shot at quite like the way i was and then firing back at a PEOPLE that could careless of why we were there, my life seemed so minute and meaningless when I got back cuz when you dont know if today could be your last day on earth here where at the moment the state of Arizona isnt at war but in other parts of the world, there were days that i hated having to go out on patrols, but i knew that i had to for the sake of our freedom. Now in hindsight, i am scared of what our country has become and its only going to get worse. Please if you dont know God, i know I know it sounds so cliche but dont be stubborn, and bullheaded while there is time still, ask God to come into ur life and pray the sinners prayer. Jesus is coming. I used to be just a lukewarm Christian, b4 being deployed and have backslid numerous times, but after seeing the caves in Afghanistan and Iraq, its making more sense and its all aligning up with God and his plan for all of us.
