Wow, memories. God used this movie twice in my life. To encourage me as a brand new believer and to call me back while backsliding a year later. That was 50 years ago and God is still strong in my life.

I was a young boy of about 10 years old when I went forward of an alter call after watching a Billy Graham movie at church. I'm in my late 60s now. I have not been a good Christian and have drifted away so badly over the years.😢 I have prayed for GOD to forgive me and have asked Jesus to be my Lord again! I have been the "protical son" for so many years and I repent from that and turn back to Jesus! Praise GOD and His son, my savior and redeemer!!! Thank you for your mercy Lord!!! Help me Lord Jesus to walk the rest of my life following you GOD and my Lord?? Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Amen!😇✝️🛐😇

Thank you for making this available - I was saved in 1973 at a viewing of this movie. God pulled me out of the pit of darkness I was in and I never looked back! So thankful for God's faithfulness in my life.

I got saved in 1980. I'm 65. All those precious young folks in this movie are at least in their 70's now! 💖 Jesus is so very steadfast in His love!

I was saved in a movie theater after watching this movie and met my future best friend and wife on Feb 3, 1973. Much more could be said but I'm so thankful that the Gospel can be shared in many unconventional ways! And sometimes folk look at me and then my wife and wonder, "How did that happen?" The simple answer is- the Lord blinded her and opened my eyes. What a personal Savior He is and what a practical savior she is?!

The job is the god. The ending got me.😢 But, being from a broken family eventually led me to see my need for a relationship with God, for forgiveness, peace, purpose. His gift is free to all who will humble themselves to see they need him, to believe in his Son, and welcome him..by grace, through faith. Eph. 2:8-10, Titus 3:5-6, etc..

It is a combination of the parables, The Prodigal Son and The Good Samaritan. Indeed, Jesus loves us unconditionally.

Such a good film, accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you'll make in your life. One day we will all stand before God and give an account for the things we've done and what we did with Jesus Christ. Did we live our lives for ourselves, our flesh? Or did we deny ourselves and submit to His Lordship?

One truly amazing and accurate film. I grew up in a Southern Baptist church, where for 35+ years mom was a church pianist and eventually organist. Twice a day Sundays, wednesday nights, and sometimes Thursday nights. Filled for mom on keys when her duties as a fed took her out of town. Thought I was solid with the Lord. Baptised @13. Floundered at college. Ran from myself. Played in a rock band many years. Thought I knew God. 76 now and still runnin. But I have Him in my heart... denying who I really am. I am an abomination. Family about destroyed, and life is really ruff. Dad remarried when I was in service, mom di too,...4,times. I feel so alone, but know He is there. Feel I don't deserve Him, because of lifestyle. Really unaccepted when I was young, not so much now. Accepted. Except by me. But I know it better than anything else. I trust in God, I just not sure how to listen. Learned how to meditate when Buddhist 6 years. But never gave up my Christianity. Gave up Buddhism instead. Learned alot from it. Let it go. Christianity has always taught me alot... about guilt. It sucks. But I atill trust in and believe Jesus Christ. I pray one day my mind will clear of all negative stuff and God prevail in my life. Evena as a kid, I always wanted to go to a Billy Graham Revival. Never did. Watched alot of it on tv. Jesus forgive my sins for I am guilty, and have followed You a long time. Treying to follow Jesus and not my physical needs and desires. Never married. Many dogs over time. My heart belongs to Jesus.💜🙏 This film put the nail in the coffin.

Such Love! I've heard that some believe in, that because You're the Son of Elohim, You suffered less, during Your distress. But then, they completely forget, that You're the Son of man, yet; Which learned obedience through all Your sufferings, but always without any sins! Thank You, Lord, that during Your life down here, You stood against all kind of temptation, to prepare a way for my salvation! I'm so grateful for those precious Words in the garden of Gethsemane, in the middle of Your agony ; "Abba Father....not as I will, but as You will!" Nobody took Your life, Lord, but You gave it freely, went through all the pain, scorn and slaughter, because You love us dearly! How can I ever comprehend such Love, which eternal life did bestow?! All I can do, is believe and receive, forever praise Your Name ; which salvation for me became!

good flick i remember back in the early 1970's when this was first out. the local movie theater even had a couple of church nights donated for free viewing. pretty cool. and then there was the thief in the night series by mark4 films all about the same time. those were simpler times.

This isn't popular to say, but it's true: this kind of preaching makes way more false converts than born again believers and here's why.. there is no mention of sin, judgment, condemnation or hell. The message Jesus preached is that we are wretched sinners bound for hell and that He came to save us from God's wrath. Most people know John 3:16 but fail to read more.
