This prank needs to be taken up a level. Target a single group or couple and keep rolling the twins over: meaning the two that leave at the top of the escalator go back downstairs and hit them a third time, and the next take over the forth and so on, until the mark is convinced they’re in a time loop. This means the first encounter needs to be treated like it’s the fifth, or whatever you chose, and then each subsequent encounter is one decay of the last meeting, if you follow. So that by the time the mark sees you for the 5th time you don’t recognize them at all and for you it’s a ‘first meeting’. That would take some more organizing but would be wild if properly executed
