the higher the elo, the more cheaters there are. At the top its 85% if you look at the number of people banned out of the top 135

Had a guy in enemy team who was 5k rating, then suddenty skyrocketed to 15k. Felt he was a little sus, and sure enough watching demo he had WH (at least).

skins being tied to money make the game objectively worse in terms of playerbase as well. Not being able to turn off skins etc is a nightmare as well. CSS was a better experience all around.

True, i also feel like its the only thing keeping the game alive. I recently switched to faceit only, after downranking from 16+ down to 10k in premier. Its truly unplayable.

Ban them for what? $15? Because that is all what is needed for them to buy back a new prime ac and they can get back to cheating their ass off again with another ac, even if they never bought prime they would still cheat somewhere else in the game.

most cs players actually play to counter shit cheaters on comp. I dont think we know that we do this but we do what works most often. I think thats why we play so scared thats why we jiggle way too much then wide swing we play the best spawns like you have to, we learn insane util just to counter the fact that yeah most cheaters are shit and even with cheats, they cant or are not willing to cheat hard enough. its sad because its like an absurd amount of the casual player-base cheats and its really bad in the us and in china where we have a culture of "win by any means necessary hell everyone else is prob cheating anyways" ask most cheaters, they started cheating bc they just wanted to cheat against cheaters.

Then if I do something nice (cause Im a pro) like 2 deagle oneshots or something, all of a sudden the whole enemy team prefires everyone dead, every round until they win, and during that time the other people on MY TEAM starts to cheat as well XD. Every single game.

Most new players playing casual exclusively are just bad at the game. And when you are bad at the game, you are also bad at judging whether a person is cheating or not. It is easy to assume that the other person is cheating when he kills you really fast upon turning a corner or seems to know timings a lot. It's just that everybody of any rank can play casual. And good players play casual a lot more often before because of too many more cheaters in premiere and mm. I myself get accused for cheating a lot by noob players in casual who doesn't even play with headphones or know when a bombsite is unguarded, doesn't even watch the radar, know certain spawn timings etc. The reality is, there are a LOT less cheaters in casual. Like a blatant cheater may join in like 1 out of 500 games or so. If you really want a cheater-fest experience, you should go play premiere and grind elo, the higher you get, the more cheaters there will be.

​@@wolf_9626I've seen people aplenty running WHs and legit spinbots, full auto SSGs and Glocks and so on on casual games, and it was their teams having to kick them due to VAC not picking up anything, it's definitely a thing and not just paranoia.

@@ShaIadeI'm not saying it's not a thing, it is, I have 5500 hours in CS and have played Casual most of the time, and we had kicked numerous cheaters during my 5 years of CS. But compared to competitive mode, casual mode just has way less cheaters, its more so that people are paranoid because there are so many cheaters in general that they believe every other legit good player is cheating and they would accuse him immediately, with really bad judgement.

Considering how often I got called a cheater I would not be sure people at lower skill levels know what one looks like. Me and a friend play competetive and ai have silver on all maps so when some genuinely silver players get destroyed they always call cheats

Steam can't count to 3 lol CS2 is the last CS game that will ever come out. You can tell by how they're setting CS up about the only thing I see changing is them dropping the 2 and just calling it CS. But with them pretty much getting CS ready to be an unreal eng and let people make the games they want there will be no need to make a new game you can always just update. You want an MMO with swords? You'll be able to make it in CS2 with NPC's working missions whatever your little heart can code you'll be able to make it in CS. GTA with cars crack head npc's working missions in CS?!?! You'll be able to make it. CS is going to have a big change when that update drops.

50% of players is highly exaggerated, as this is more of a high elo issue, which already is just about 4% of the total community. Now if you would have a cheater in every top level game you would still just end up with 1/10 of those 4%.

@@Gymnasiar I don't get why people say it's a high elo issue. Yes there will be some blatant hackers farming rank in 20k+ but I play at 12-13k and the amount of closet cheaters isn't a small issue. Like the other guy said, it's always the guys with bad crosshair placement, looking at the ground with their knife out, bot movement and 0 util that somehow catch every timing and drop 25 kills despite being demolished in the first half. There was an 800hr account I was playing against a few weeks ago and I suspected something was up. He would have hidden the hacks well though until he started tracking people through smokes and full flashes 😂. Another guy I was playing with was on my team, I asked him how many hours he had on cs because he was top of the leaderboard and seemed to be playing well. He said "uhhh.... eerrr..." and couldn't even give a straight answer. I check the demo and he's using soft aimlock. It has been like this every other game I play to the point where my leetify performance looks like a damn rollercoaster, performing well one game then getting demolished the next. My rating hasn't even changed despite having a 55% winrate, it feels like my rank is entirely based upon which team has the cheater. This isn't even a sob story. I don't mind losing to people who are better than me. I check demos in the first place to watch my own plays to improve. But it's so disheartening to have a bad game and go to the demo to realise that half the time a game's outcome isn't you being good or bad, it's whether someone was cheating

i think we are having different gameplay experiences. At least for me there havent been a lot of cheaters. But that is just my experience, i can not disprove your own experiences@@nade5557

Valve needs to lobby law makers to make hacking in any matchmaking based competitive games illegal, then region lock servers. I'm saying this as a hyper libertarian. . Its essentially fraud, harms businesses, and harms a section of society. It doesn't matter if "its just a game" its ruining peoples free time which effects people in their day to day. They have the money to do it, and it would stop super intrusive anti-cheats from being the method to counteract this. Its only a matter of time until an anti-cheat company gets hacked and everyone who uses that kernel level anti cheat gets compromised.

You know Prime is the next biggest revenue source for Valve in CS2 after case openings? They won’t remove anything that makes them money unless its replacement makes more money. Companies like Valve have the mindset of “if it works, it works. No need to do anything” and throw in a bite whenever they feel so. When a cheater is banned, they get another prime account which is a revenue source. This might make you think that why is not banning people actively. It’s mostly because there are lot of cheaters who dominate the skins economy and alt accounts which in turn controls the prices and player share. Too bad to see a game that always has a 1M player base drop to 500K as if the game is dying right? So much PR and no balls for the company to do the right thing.

This. A big discrepancy between the movement and their overall performance is often the most significant tell. Everyone who is good at CS at least doesn't have BOT tier movement because of the large amount of hours it takes to become good, and it's impossible to cheat your way around bad movement. They feel like a god when you play against them but when you spec the demo they just look so fucking clunky.

@@gizmoman2388 Yeah, I've given up on playing MM, people just rage hack from start now. Faceit does a good job at keeping them out. I don't remember the last time I had a cheater on there, plus, the rare times I have, they get banned pretty fast. You can even go more hardcore like me and buy a monthly sub to not play against new accounts(aka "Super Match"). Completely ridiculous that I have to pay a monthly sub to a 3rd party service to play this game though. Haven't suspected anyone of cheating since having the sub.

Back in the days these guys would atleast try to play normally due to Overwatch. Nowadays it's ridiculous how people admit to cheating in chat and aren't getting banned BC they aren't any repercussions.

If he is running it properly it can't be detected by vac. Also there might be a way to generate skins and items.

There is a weird bug in the game at the moment where the viewmodel can spazz out while turning. It seems to happen more the longer you leave the game on. Some games Im just playing and suddenly my gun starts flickering all over the screen. Its very distracting.

The guy was cheating, but if you have a relatively high sens and flick fast, you can shoot in 1 frame. Remember youutube videos are 60fps. A lot of people have 144hz or 240hz monitors. So if I flick on my screen and it takes 4 frames to get on the enemy head, then record a 60fps video for youtube, you wont see the flick because it happens in one frame at 60fps.

I dont cheat and I have 8 accounts now, because the cheaters on my team keep reporting me for griefing and kicking me when I laugh at how blatant and bad they are. Then I get a cooldown and they can continue cheating. Its ridiculous

You have to report for griefing, not for cheating.

If you report for cheating, the demo can be added to the training database for the vacnet AI. Thats about it atm.
