My best friend of 30 years passed away some years ago. I started sobbing when I heard the intro. Right up until she died we would sing this to each other constantly, as this was a staple of our lives growing up. We bought the cd when it was released and played it Til it broke lol. The day of her funeral it came on the radio on a station dedicated to that era of music, that I had never heard before. Instead of my whole car getting quiet (I drove with her family in the procession and we took my car) her mom reached over and cranked my stereo where we all sang and laughed until we cried. It’s been 6 years since she passed and without fail, every time I have heard this song, it’s been after I have tried talking to her because I have never bonded with anyone else like that except my husband and we have been struggling. Today was no exception. Sorry for the novel, it just hit Me on a different level and it’s appreciated more than ever ❤

It honestly makes me even more sad that it's not just me. I wish I could hug you. I hope you can talk to your husband and get through whatever your struggles are, at least. The 90s were the best era for music in general. Almost 40 years later and I still hear more people bumping music I grew up with than most of the trash that comes out now, in all genres. From Rap, R&B, Hip-Hop, Techno & House, to Country, Rock, and full on Death Metal. There's so few examples of music in the past decade that can even hold a candle to music that came out in the BEST decade (you all know it's them 90s 😎).

I literally did the EXACT same thing as soon as I clicked the video. Soul 4 Real, H-Town and Hi-Five were on their ways to dominating the airwaves during the 90s if they all didn't lose their lead singers 😢
