In 50 years I’ve seen a lot of good players come and go... and a lot of highlight reels - this kid is indeed the very best I’ve seen. Magic to watch - He’s just a bloody wrecking ball out there. Unstoppable. Inhuman. Awe inspiring. Legendary. I hope McDavid has a very long and healthy career. An absolute pleasure to watch.✌️❤️🇨🇦

This guy is a cheat code. Pace, power, skill, he has everything. His edge work is insane and then he has the ability to change it up. The Matrix. When you think he skated down a dead end, he'll find a way out. Incredible. Another level up from anything we've ever seen.

I don't think that he has everything. He can't really check that hard or fight, and he has never won the Selke Trophy either. Suggesting that he has it all is a blatant lie. Everything else though, the man is a legend! Future Hall of Famer easily.

these are the types of guys that dynasties are built around. can change the whole atmosphere in franchise. i have been a sports freak for 30 plus years or so and i think mcdavid has the most talent i have ever seen from any hockey player and that includes lemieux and the great one and jagr. i enjoy watching him play.

The hockey world is so lucky to have Connor McDavid. He had seven plans when he jets the buck straight to the net, in a matter of Milli's seconds he will apply accordingly, up stair, down stair, left, right, five-hole, wrap around and reverse. He is the hockey, he is the magic.

When he showed up in the NHL and they made him a captain right away, I resented it = felt like this would be another overhyped kid. Boy was I wrong...ever since I saw him skate, have been a huge fan.The others do not come even close....and I would dare to say that this applies even to some of the greats like Crosby, Jagr etc.

Well, Usain is the fastest sprinter there ever was. The advantage that hockey skates provide athletes over sprinting spikes are probably just their turning, stopping and gliding abilities. For speed you want to go for speed skates. With those, male athletes can reach right around 60 kph.

Connor is so fast during regular season games, he can knife through both defenseman and create a breakaway even if it is from a broken play. Shades of Gretzky. My team is the Habs and Cole Caufield is my favourite player. However, McDavid will win the Rocket Richard Trophy.

Not at full speed with a puck on his stick. That's the difference, McDavid can pull these moves at top speed. Doesn't give his opponents time to think or anticipate.

He's going to rewrite every defenceman record in the books. Playmaking and edgework unlike any other player in the game, while still being unreal defensively. If he stays healthy he will go down as the best defenceman ever. Lidstrom, Orr, Coffey, Borque, Robinson, Harvey, Potvin, Pronger will all eventually fall to him.
