Saftu general secretary Zwelizima Vavi says the reconfiguration of the ANC tripartite alliance partners SACP and Cosatu is just a 'fairytale'
Vavi was speaking on the Sunday Times Politics Weekly podcast with politics reporter Sisanda Mbolekwa.

Unions are in bed with government and corporations. Anyone who pay membership for unions is mad or has mental issues . Unions don’t save their workers in any disputes

@@mvuyisimbanjwa4907 they changed the overtime rates definitions in favour of employers. It became normal to work on Saturday, Sunday and p.holidays. As u can see the definitions of those three days were days dedicated to gods and considered Holy and no work was to be performed in those days. Cosatu reduced the rates on those days. If you were rostered to work on public holidays u were suppose to be paid a double but if it was not your roster your employer was paying a double plus 1 from the government which made a lot of difference to your pay . Companies were discouraged to enslave people on those days by taking all money made to employees rather than profiting the company. It was a principle that encouraged to put servants to rest at list to have social life as employers could not make a profit on those days but those who were working were taking all profit by higher rates. Cosatu also ignored section 198 of lra amendment that banned TES or labour broker from enslaving people earning less than 205k per year. Passed in 2014 Cosatu don't recognise this law . This law caused Vavi and SACP to hate Zuma and declared that they will never support him. After 3 months of being placed by an agent to work for 1 employer continuously,u become a deemed permanent employee of that employer without any new contract signed. You are treated the same as permanent employees that are doing the same job as u. If the employer no longer in need of your services the employer will have to process your dismissal as he will do to any permanent employee. That is retrenchment using first in last out procedure. Even if he have other permanent employees that he gave permanent contracts after u they are considered as employees that came after u so they have to go first....

But Vavi you failed to form labour party while you were still in Cosatu, you concentrated on supporting Zuma to the highest office, in turn we were given the Guptas.
