The opposition Congress abandoned Ram in 1949. Please refer to the reply of PM Nehru to the report by the then District Collector Shri KK Nair. Ultimately the Collector had to resign but took up the matter in court. Then it's said that Shri KK Nair stood up and fought election from there and became the MP of Jan Sangh. The Congress had thrown out Ram in 1949 itself and Nehru ordered against the interest of the temple. The Communists and the SP are well known by their actions against the temple. Shri Pawan Varma and Ashutosh, specifically, should be realistic in their political assessment. The BJP deserves the credit alongwith the Saints and the Hindu community. Ashutosh is a failed politician.

Sudhanshu ji is totally right! As usual, Ashutosh is ill informed, and is completely misrepresenting and misquoting history. When debating against well educated, superbly informed scholars like Sudhanshu ji and Dr Ranganathan, the least a pseudo intellectual like Ashutosh could do is fact check before coming in for the debate!
