Xbox managed to get the best looking version this time compared to the last game, which was designed solely for the GameCube that left the other versions looking washed out. Not only that, but it had full support for Xbox Live at that time.

From what ive seen time splitters 2 and future perfect were mainly designed for ps2 first and everything else later. The gamecube versions of time splitter games seem to be the worst versions with weird messed up framrates and missing effects.

The Xbox version is certainly the best out of the three versions, offering the most features; system link/LAN support, and because of the Xbox’s more powerful hardware, you can create maps as big as you want, and you can also have 4 player split screen and still have the maximum number of bots in a match, whereas in the PS2 and GameCube versions, the game removes a bot for each additional player. The Xbox version also has the best graphics and sound, the fastest load times, the most consistent frame rate, the most vibrant colors, and the most storage capability because of the hard drive. As you might expect, the PS2 version looks and runs the worst, and the GCN version lacks LAN and online support, which is a serious bummer considering the active community that the TimeSplitters games still have to this day.

@@codezero7981 I don't think it runs smoother but it does load faster I suppose. No wonder why speedrunners use the GCN version.

I noticed a bloom effect in some levels like Scotland on PS2, is that on Xbox?

⁠@@Obviousthrowawayaccount Yes. GameCube does as well, but it's not like it matters because a bloom effect is a bloom effect. Some find it appealing, some don't.

Excited for this one! TS2 and FP are easily two of my favorite games of all time! Only ever played them on GC

It’s quite obvious that it’s XB, then GC and then finally PS2. Basically the same for most multi platform games that are on each of these consoles. Given the hardware differences, you’d expect this.

Yes, as well as Series X. But, there’s no online as Xbox Live 1.0 has shut down. However, there’s a workaround using XLink Kai through LAN Mode.

PS2 version looks blurry and muddy af, Xbox looks nice and clean whereas GameCube is in between the two but it has bad frame drops.

Xbox looks and sounds way better, no contest. And It seems it plays better too, as if it had Halo's control scheme instead of the old FPS controllers.
