It is the fastest way through if you carry the speed through the slide. Most just don't do this because it kills tires but that isn't really a factor in RX so it is regularly used.

yup and there is nothing wrong with bumping and banging. Same as in some forms of pave circle track racing. It is also possible to win with out doing this. I mean its one thing to race hard and bump and bang it is another to spin to win.

+JDMSG np at all, the driver does actually have good talent too, so I really shouldn't have phrased it like that. I lost a championship by 4 points in the last race of the season. I was leading going into that evening. I pulled a move just like his last one there and got black flagged and lost the championship. Next year I won the championship winning 20 of 25 main events. Didn't even have to run the last 5 races (but I did) to win the championship. Anyhow that year I don't think I ever touched one other car lol

Not only did he ram him he completely skip the corner and cut it right through the grass fully. There's a reason they have rumble strips you're not supposed to get all four tires passed them and just cut and drive through the grass.
