Alright, so this is just my interpretation, in here we see that timmy is obviously older, thus he can't have fairy godparents, so the reason he's depressed is because wanda here is just a figment of his imagination, even after having his memory wiped he still have a remnant of his fairy godparents, he probably feels a certain hole in his chest that he can't explain, like he misses people that didn't exist, or trying to reminisce something that never happened, and this is killing him, which why he's depressed.
