If Patti lived in a different state she could have had a quasi-comfortable life; she actually works and follows through with her obligations. It's not like she's chasing a dream in NYC, and it's not like she had anything to leave behind. It's baffling to me why she squandered away her life living in a city that she can't afford to live in.

While living in the city definitely was the cause of her financial woes, she caused all the other ones herself. Her life path started well before O&A

I think a lot of the people living there, especially these days, are in the same boat. They've either just lived there for all their lives and don't wanna leave, or they still view the city as "the place to be" and try to maintain some sense of status.

They can’t survive in the suburbs just like country people can’t survive in the city. She didn’t have a driver’s license or car and walked everywhere and/or got public transit. Only way for her to move would be to have a friend somewhere else that could help her get started and set up for suburb life. It’s possible, but people fear change.

Never found the stalker Patti bits entertaining I think they are forced because Opie and Anthony poke fun at her benign existence, savings Club cards, being responsible paying her debts... it is so hard living on $12.50 in New York City, and she's seems to manage her finances and personal life beautifully oh, she's an example to everyone who complains about how little money they make. This shows how out of touch Opie and Anthony are, thinking saving a buck is a joke.

Minimum wage here in NYC is $7.50, she's only getting paid that much because she's been there for so long but some places do offer a little more for certain jobs. We're cheap here too believe me.

I really cannot stand Fez as anything but a source of amusement. On the one hand, he's so incompetent he can't figure out how to get off a three foot-high console on his own, but he's the first to appeal to his status in the world as a "winner" (being a well-paid radio co-host at the time) against other people to portray them as "losers", and this appeal, just like when Patrice O'Neal would do the same thing and then play the black victim, is totally contradictory to his playing the "gay victim" of "societal oppression" and makes that totally hypocritical. At least Patrice O'Neal admitted, possibly inadvertently, that his point of view was that there was a "hierarchy of oppression" and that he should get to oppress Asians, showing it isn't a matter of any kind of principle of opposition to oppression in general, but only selective vilification thereof when it's applied to he and other blacks, like a racial version of psychopathy (in that a psychopath believes nobody else's suffering nor anyone else's life matters at all but that its own matters infinitely) which is what happens in all cases of anything happening to blacks, even if it's happening to ten times as many whites.
