Stevo and Sean go way back to the beginning of his current rig build when he attended one of Sean's meet and greet MOD days he had back in 2015. That day started a friendship that only a Toyota could forge. Rigs like this don't just get built overnight. It has been many years of sicmods that got Stevo's rig to where it is today and his TRD Supercharged, manual trans, Total Chaos long travel build looks fantastic after some fresh paint. Join us in this rig walk around of his rig while we check out all the sicmods on this build.
Go follow Stevo on Instagram!

This is a very very good and correct build. Anyone wondering on LT .... it gets pricy... it isn't like sas where there's so many out there. That you can find used deals on everything.... most LT builds are built from new parts. For my 86 pu, my LT suspension tallied up roughly $19k easy.. receipts for everything.... and that prices isn't even including my 22rte mods
@TimmyTheToolman
@TimmyTheToolman 6 ай бұрын
Long travel is very pricey and sort of debatable if the expense is worth it. It depends on what you want to do with your rig. Obviously if you're going to mall crawl, LT is a huge waste of money. But, people can spend their money however they wish.

I have a 98 sr5 MT with the supercharger. Have been battling high pressure low rpm pinging forever. I think the 7th injector fixes the high rpm leanout only. Have you had hplr issues? Been thinking about about a snow performance methanol injection system. Love your truck. Nice work!

Look for AGM or lifepo4 batteries, battle born batteries are tried and true but cost an arm and a leg. Lifepo(lithium) batteries are great for inside the cabin and are pretty much the go to but the one thing is if you try to charge the battery while it’s in freezing temps you will ruin the battery, battle born has a feature that makes it so the battery won’t charge below a certain temp to protect it. That being said I bought a 100AH lifepo4 battery on Amazon for 300$ vs battle born is like 1000$.
@stevenisacoolname2

Thanks Adam! The rear is a massive Stinger SPP1700 but they make a whole line of different sizes that are not vented, but most AGM batteries should work perfect for your application!

@TimmyTheToolman

These rigs were sold in California stock with superchargers on them. You can pass smog no problem but you need one of those CARB legal stickers for the supercharger to put under your hood so the smog tech will pass it.

Do you have to drain the air tanks in the ARB compressor for moisture every so often?
@TimmyTheToolman
@TimmyTheToolman Жыл бұрын
The air compressor doesn't have tanks but rather chambers were the air is compressed. If Stevo is supplying a reservoir air tank, that air tank would have to be periodically drained of moisture.

3:25 this is the opposite of 'I know what I have'. the dealer obviously didn't know how desirable manual 4x4 3rd Gen 4Runners are to the right person.
@TimmyTheToolman
@TimmyTheToolman 2 жыл бұрын
Back when Stevo bought this truck, the price of these trucks was definitely more normalized than it is today with the current c0vïd tax we are seeing on these vehicles. These things are getting out of hand with the prices people are asking.

@@TimmyTheToolman you're right about the price but I was referring to the dealer thinking a manual 4Runner is less desirable to the 4x4 4Runner community.

Do your Tundra Brakes have weird foot pressure variability?
@TimmyTheToolman
@TimmyTheToolman Жыл бұрын
I don't think Stevo's going to see your comment so I'll answer it for you. The brake pedal will travel further after doing the TBU. You're now supplying larger calipers with the same master cylinder. But, even with the further pedal travel, your braking will be overall better. Some guys have also swapped out the master cylinder for a higher capacity one, but we haven't performed that mod and couldn't instruct you on what one to buy and the steps to replacing it.
