Mattenet has the best backhand from far back court, there's hardly anyone who does it as skillfully and consistently as him. His main weakness is still his forehand though.

This isnt some comment to hate on mattenet but i honestly think Timo extended the game on purpose so he would have extra preperation against stronger opponents since he was already through to the QF looking at the first and last set. Just what I think, Mattenet played above his usual level this tourney though. Quite impressive since he was injured durring the summer

Pour moi Mattenet et Boll sont les deux à avoir le meilleur contrôle de balle en contre-top revers à mi-distance !! Mattenet en abuse c'est clair, et Boll je sais qu'il fait rarement de faute de ce coté là. Wang Hao cartonne pas mal aussi... ZJK par exemple jle trouve moyen en revers loin de la table

Oué c'est sur, mais après c'est un style de jeu, ZJK ne fera pas ce genre de top revers, mais il peut battre les 2 "aisément" ^^ Mais c'est vrai que Boll et Adrien sont àfond en revers :P (Et tu as oublié Kalinikos qui est énorme en revers, peut-etre pas aussi loin :P)

Waldner would have drop shot and angled the heck out of this dude in his prime. Boll's game is very 2 dimensional.

Is everybody obsessed with Mattenet's hair? God, there are comments on that matter on every recent vid, it's becoming annoying.... Anyway, he made a huge effort to catch up but he is still a bit too inconsistant and doesn't apply smart tactics on every set. He never gives up and makes amazing points although he should work on how to receive services from lefties and his forehand.... Good match though ;)
