Yes , but in the key moments he won 6,7 balls with the net....while Kallberg' s enemy was also the net...every ball Kallberg sent, was out from the net...

Best game so far among the ones i've seen in the tournament. Kallberg played very well and i was impressed by his speed!!! Super fast player and very reliable shots. But Timo Boll is still Timo Boll !!! :) congrats for the victory Timo, it's still a joy to watch your games!

What a nerve-wracking match. I'm too old for this and i'm younger than Timo. Btw, Timo: how could your legacy possibly getting even bigger at this age? I cannot believe how well you are still playing. Adding another titel at the age of 40 would be a joke. Winning this match alone is incredible, when you think about it. What a player, what an athlete, what a role model he is 🙏🏼

On paper Anton should have bodied him. Timo is such a smart player that it's disgusting.

@@lucaslima4218 Kallberg played a lot more matches than Calderano. Kallberg was 25-2 and Calderano 15-1 (Boll had more losses this season). Kallberg was the key player in the Champions league and the playoffs for Dusseldorf this year. He has been extremely consistent against players outside of the top 20 but hasn't played that many matches against that caliber player (he had match points against Dima at Doha but couldn't close it out). He is very close to the top none-chinese players. ttbl.de/

Boll is not a really smart player.He simply doesn't miss in neutral rallies because his game is quite safe using small swings played mostly with the arm.That style can get you to a certain level but doesn't work against the Chinese.Crisan has a similar game to him.

Anton was stronger in many sutuations but Timo could play the experiance card and also had some lucky points. It could have been the final

I've read some of the comments extolling Timo but how many times was he beaten down his right side....I think he needs to up his game another 20-25% before he starts admitting he played well. A win is a win but I think that Sweden are moving into the new TTpowerhouse in European TT. Maybe an upset on the cards in The olympics for them. Good Match to watch #TableTennisKeepyUppeyChallenge

I think Kallberg might have the best footwork out of any of the European players. He was really able to move around the whole court and hit good forehands. Physically and technically he's very strong, he just needs to work on tactics and mentality. Maybe he needs to "cho" after big points idk

@@void0350 I feel like there's a bunch of euro players that have the POTENTIAL to upset the Chinese - but no huge threats. This includes Dima (had beaten fzd once iirc), Darko Jorgic (I don't think he's had any big upsets against China but he's always pressured them), Liam Pitchford (probably washed up but who knows), Falck (playing against pips can be extremely awkward + high pressure situation = hard) and of course Timo is always a bit of a threat. It's hard to say. This is also FZDs first Olympics so who knows what could happen. It's pretty high pressure compared to other events.

Timo is in excellent form for being close to 40. Anton played really well and took full advantage of Timo's weaknesses.

I feel like the game was much closer than the 4:1 shows. I think Anton played very well but was too passive towards the end of the set. I'm pretty sure he will be able to take away a lot from this game and grow from it. Well playe Timo!

I really hate it when people are complaining about a net that is not moving lol ... It’s part of the game and flexibility of the players to save the ball and adjust quickly which requires fast reflexes.. If he is better than Timo then he could have won at least 3 sets ... people saying Timo being lucky is a bullshit !!! At his age playing so smartly is amazing and look how spinny his ball, it’s beyond compare!!!

I guess if Anton wasn‘t playinging in Düsseldorf as well, he would have won this match. I had the feeling that he coundn‘t imagine winning against this legend and started playing nervous. Good for Timo but Anton would have deserved it^^

Hi everyone! I just saw the crazyiest thing in this video!!! Anton kallberg start the game with his fh black rubber normal 05, and bh dignics 05 and switched the sides in the end of the first set... And played the remaining of the game with dignics 05 on his fh and normal tenergy on his bh... Whats that all about... Never seen anything like that in pro tt...

Boll is quick, reliable. Knows when to slow down. Nearly always puts the ball on the table. Doesn't go for low percentage shots. Kallberg is firing hard and missing.

Do you know how old Timo is , but Timo still wins , that means younger still standstills , no more improving. I love Timo but if he wins now i am sad instead of happy.

gosh the stomping is so ridiculous nowadays. it has nothing to do in TT in this current era. it was a trick to hide the contact sound when we could still hide the ball with the arm. now that we see everything, it doesn't serve any purpose. just dumb stuff. and Anton abuses of the "Gerell" style of serve by semi hiding with the rotation of his body. honestly, so many players nowadays are unwatcable because of stupid stuff like that. irritating as hell.
