Evolving from single-celled yellow organisms at the dawn of time, Minions live to serve, but find themselves working for a continual series of unsuccessful masters, from T. Rex to Napoleon. So the minion's language is considered an "All laguage" aka an language that is a mi of a few different one. You can hear them speak parts in Spanish, parts in French (Makes sense since Napoleon lol), some in English and I believe there is even a bit of German if I remember correctly. I only saw just how true this was yesterday when I watched a reactor watching Minions and he could understand the French parts. I was like OMG it really is an all language, lol. I just love seeing these kind of fun details especially in animated movies.

38:52 Scarlett's dress came with protection cover thing, if you look closely you can see it covering her and Herb just before the rocket explodes in Kevin. The writers confirmed that the gesture of the tiny crown was touching enough for Scarlett and Herb to forgive the minions, and they broke out of jail a year later and went off to enjoy retirement on a beach somewhere.

Yeah, Herb Overkill is a genius when it comes to technology but he lacks any sense of subtlety which is why he couldn't make it to the big rings of full-out villainy like Scarlett can. In any case, he genuinely loves and supports his wife and is happy to stand back into the supporting role and let her be in the spotlight of their villainous empire.

I've written before that Minions have the potential for some quality physical humor. To some extent, I like this film, but all the same, as for me, Minions as comedy characters are unable to take out a full-length film. Although the idea that supervillains are in demand among people at the level of superheroes, I like it.

I'm not sure why, but when Kevin did the "lick thumb to remove the smudge from Bob's face" thing, my heart melted. It goes to show you that a family doesn't have to be a "Norman Rockwell painting of a Thanksgiving dinner".

With the amount of brutal deaths, edgy humor, and some violence being committed, this movie starring the comic reliefs is ironically the darkest Despicable Me movie.

Now I'm wondering if he either stole the Freeze Ray from Dr. Nefario, and when Nefario hunted Gru down for it Gru was able to impress him and Nefario started working for Gru... Or if Gru and his mom genuinely bought the Freeze Ray and Gru started an apprenticeship under Nefario to become the greatest supervillain like Gru's absent father was. Either one would be cool, but they're just guesses. (I have NOT seen Rise of Gru yet, but I plan on seeing it soon!)

Here’s some things that I noticed that were brought in Despicable Me the first movie because of this minion movie. In the minion movie Kevin was knighted, the queen had her crown stolen by Gru and a few other items from this movie. Now go back and review Despicable Me one how many references can you spot because of the minion movie!!! I’ll just give you a hint during the time the bank stopped funding group to build a rocket, The scene where the minions give grew some of their money to help build the rocket, you can see some of the items from this movie. It’s amazing how some of the references of the minion movie are in the first Despicable Me movie!!!!!

So many hate Minions and find them annoying. It's like, that's the point lol. I'm 40 and have Minion merch! I think the what really annoyed people more so was the merchandising was bonkers. Every product found a way to have Minions connected to it. Even Amazon would send you packages in Minion boxes. Though admittedly as much as I love Minions, they are a bit better as a side piece to a movie than a whole movie about them. Not that I hated this movie of course, I loved it.

I love minions and I enjoy this movie. Happy to see someone on KZfaq excited for this. Most people are all too happy to shit on them - jumping the bandwagon to hate on them. And although this is not my favorite movie the minions are in (I prefer them in Despicable me - all 3) I still like this movie.
