206. If someone asked us 'but is that true?" we might say "yes" to him; and if he demanded grounds we might say "I can't give you any grounds, but if you learn more you too will think the same". If this didn't come about, that would mean that he couldn't for example learn -history- continental philosophy

@@Dere2727 Logic is relevant to philosophy, of course. But not everything done by people engaged with logic is relevant, to philosophy or anything else. Playing games in esoteric rabbit holes within esoteric rabbit holes likely won't amount to much. Which may be why very few people outside of Williamson's tiny circle engage with his work, and nobody outside of analytic philosophy has any idea who he is.
