Nice work! It would fantastic for you to partner with a sustainable yard expert! Pathways, pollinator shrubbery, and less clear cut lawn makes an earth friendly and more manageable yard. Maybe find sponsors to help decrease combustible engine pollution!! Your heart and work ethic combined with educating us on sustainability would be an awesome gift to the world!! Great work!

That's so awesome to help lend a hand to someone that has health issues and it happened to be on the way from your last client. People fail to realize there can be many possibilities why yards end up looking like this and it's not always because someone is lazy or is a dirty slob. People also fail to realize that if one has the time, will, and means to help out, it can definitely help in a tremendous way. Keep up the excellent work, Tim!

That’s what you think, but trust me, having worked in the mental health world for over 10years now, there are disabled people who have absolutely no one. Some of my clients take us their external caregivers as their family regardless of our different races, because we legit are the only ones in their lives. It’s sad but true. I wouldn’t be surprised if the lawn owner either has no family or has a family who for some reason don’t exist in his life anymore. God bless tim!

I'm a recently disabled nurse whose entire family has passed away over the last 4 years. There are many elderly or disabled who may not have family nearby to help. And it seems the majority of people are worried about their own situations and don't care to get involved or fear negative responses. And yes, there are people who wouldn't appreciate intervention by others. I had a neighbor who was renting the unit and when some of the neighbors offered to help, she cussed the crud out of them. The HOA then had to seek legal action against the owner who wasn't maintaining his property.

Yeah, was going to mention that. Leaving that much cut grass lay isn't good for the turf underneath. Also, that much grass, as it starts to rot, is going to make that yard smell like a barn yard. I know from experience. Had a neighbor who would let his lawn get ridiculously tall, then go out and mow it and let it lay ..... and his yard would get to smelling like a barn yard, a poorly maintained barn yard. Some days during the summer when the wind would shift putting me down wind, it was bad enough to gag a maggot.

It still amazes me to watch videos like this and you see a neighborhood with pristine well-kept yards and I guess nobody cares enough to help out or check on a neighbor that may have health problems or at least mow their grass once every couple weeks to keep it manageable it's just shocking
@kris2455
@kris2455 2 жыл бұрын
Just because they managed to keep their own yard well kept doesn't mean they can take another one on. Most ppl work at least 40 hours a week and they need to commute to work. It gives them just the weekends to take care of their homes, do the shopping, visit family and spend quality time with their kids. I wouldn't sacrifice 2 hours with my child to do the neighbor's lawn when there are companys he could hire to do it or when he has a family that should be there for him. There are tough choices we need to make and you can't help everybody, especially if the neighbor never shown any interest in your life as you were struggling withe newborn...so, let's not be judgemental. There are reasons for everthing. I love those acts of kindness but the guy is doing this lawn once. If you are a neighbor to do it always is just too much. And who knows maybe his neighbors are sick to and their children to their lawns. You can never know.

@@kris2455 I find it very ironic in your comment as you state do not be judgemental when you yourself are being judgemental on my comment that's very interesting I will tell you this if you knew who I take care of how many family members would I do what I'm responsible for business and all that and I still look out for somebody that's elderly because they cannot or their families gone or deceased maybe that's where I have a heart maybe you need to think about it

@@kris2455 No excuses, A 40 hour work week and 1 lawn that is about 1 hours work if slightly overgrown, neighbors can take turns, either blend it in with their yard work time or another day. Most Senior Citizens are struggling to get by on very little income and paying $50. For someone to do their lawn might be their Grocery or medication money.
