I hear people use both. Like how we amerucans say 100 dollars and 100 bucks. But I don't know what is proper. But one thing I do know is that a euro is different and you guys don't use them.

@@blazedjord thanks for clarifying for them 😂 yeah “quid” just a slang term for pounds. You’d likely use the term “quid” for a small amount of money and pounds for a large amount of money but not always the case. It wouldn’t be professional to say quid at work to a customer/client really as you’d probably agree the same with bucks in the US

Quid and pounds are the same thing, like bucks and dollars. Tomato sauce is ketchup. US chips are crisps in the UK and fries are called chips although sometimes we say fries if they’re thin cut. Hope that helps a little.

A Pound is also known as quid. Chips in uk, fries in the USA (although if in Mac Donald’s then the skinny chips are referred to fries) Chips in USA, crisps in the uk Dorito’s are called Dorito’s in both (or we would call them tortilla chips)
