IMO: Yk the feeling when you absolutely dominate in cod, think of that but 10x better when you overcome a boss on here bro. You get to see your progression from struggling to controlling yourself to focus on the one boss in front of you, I’ve never been so hyped and overjoyed when I killed malenia. Truly a great experience

Jev did this intentionally, but his build is designed for dmg output, not tankyness. Where he's at is the game's 2nd or 3rd last area. For anything past the capital, I'd highly recommend having Vigor leveled to at least 40 if not 60. Although 60 is very nice.

I've only played dark souls 1 and 3 for about an hour each and wasn't a fan but after playing elden ring... over 200 hours and multiple playthroughs, it's easily one of the greatest games I've ever played in my life!

The reason why Elden Ring is an amazing first Souls game is because it can be as hard or as easy as you want it to be. Want the game to be enjoyable and easy? Level your health, grind for levels, use summons, and broken weapons. (chat will make fun of you but who gives af) Want to be a masochist and run into a brick wall 247 tries on repeat? Don't level health, don't use summons, don't grind for levels, don't use broken weapons. I've found it hard to complete single player games for a long time now but I have beaten this game over 7 times in 1 year. That's just how amazing it is. It got GotY for a reason and is an absolute MUST PLAY.

Tim you gotta play ER. The rage is unreal but when you kill a boss you died to 20+ times, the feeling of accomplishment is unmatched.

Action Queued = Actions in this game (attack, dodge, use item, etc) stack when pressed and cannot be canceled. So if you press attack 3 times and only meant to press it 2 times, you can't cancel the 3rd into something else (like a dodge).

it’ll only take about 70-80 hours if you’re real scared about the bosses, I should know, I was heavily over leveled for Malenia

This was my first Souls game, and I absolutely loved it. Surprisingly, I didn't have too many issues. I died more to the damn birds and rats than anything else. I think the only boss that gave me serious trouble was a duo in a hidden cave that I was utterly under-leveled for at the time.

It’s a love hate kind of deal. I played DS2 when it first came out for maybe an hour before I gave up and stayed away from the souls games. Now Iv gotten 100% for ER on both ps4/5 and Iv decided to do that with all the other games. Yes they’re hard games, yes they make you break things, but that enjoyment of finally beating that boss you’ve been stuck on or getting the weapon you’ve been searching for to complete your build is such a great feeling. I highly recommend trying to do a play through or just giving it a shot

I was in your shoes Tim. Never played a souls game until this one. It was hard as fuck, but damnit it was satisfying to finally beat a boss you have been struggling with for a long time. Some of the boss fights are goddamn scenic too. I 100% love this game, I raged plenty, destroyed a controller but at the end it was fantastic. I’ve beaten it twice now working on my third time and have 80 hours in it.

as someone who never played a souls like game, this was financially one of the best game decisions i ever made and i enjoyed every minute of it. Give it a try Tim, and i dont mean 15 minutes, just sit down and play a couple hours and you will be hooked i promise.

tbh, the reason these bosses hit him so hard was because he had the HP of a character that just started the game throughout the entirety of the game. Usually people have level 50-60 vitality at this point, which would have given him about 4-5x the HP he currently has. He can hit hard, but at the cost of everything at the halfway point of the game onward one-shotting him. The game is a lot easier than this guy portrayed it as, and is 100% worth the try. Just use a quality build, and experiment with weapons and then you can swap your build whenever after you beat a certain boss! quality builds are 40 dexterity, 40 strength, and then the rest in stamina and HP. prioritize your Hp and stamina over your attacking stats (dex/strength), so you can take a few hits. you can always make your stat spread something like HP every 3 levels, stamina the 2 levels after that, and 1 in str and 1 in dex. After that, just keep that build in mind until you feel it's better to invest in your offensive stats more.

It's great. It's more beginner frindly than other souls games, since the open world allows you to explore, and grow stronger, before faceing a hard boss. If you cant beat it right away, just do something fun elsewere, and return 10 lvl later with a better wepon. You could also try 121 times until you beat a boss without getting stronger, and thats fine too. So many ways to play the game and have fun!
