he didn't cheat, he basically was so mechanically better and his movement was far ahead of the games time period, that people thought he was cheating, he was banned from pro play for years but once his ban was up he came back and immediately was one of the best esport players on the scene.

He never cheated the anti cheat which pro play used at the time was flawed, there is videos of people replicating the inputs that were detected. He essentially spammed 4 to activate hibana pellets so fast that the detection system got overwhelmed and miscalculated the inputs.@@Volkanaev_

@@Volkanaev_ I don’t think you understood what the video was explaining. He didn’t cheat he was just light years ahead of the skill cap in R6 at the time that the macro scanner was used. Also they said that it has been proven that Shaiko rebinded the default 4 key to an input on his mouse so of course he was able to click it much faster. This whole controversy happened in the early days of R6 pro league from what it described so it sounds like the anti-cheat system they used specifically for Pro league could not keep up with Shaiko’s “inhuman” abilities. Video games themselves create an unreasonable about of dopamine so that fluctuates and effects your mental thought process. It makes you think incredibly fast and shoots your reaction timing way way up. Which will effect thinking as a result. So calling him a cheater is completely within the realm of acceptance because of when and why you are assuming so. Also many many egos are challenged when someone of that caliber completely shits on you with ease. The dopamine, adrenaline, shock factor, and ego all have a play in hackusation of another player. Rather then only pure facts and video evidence.

To update you: Shaiiko has been playing for Team BDS this whole time since returning from the ban, and he has consistently been one of the highest rated players. His team struggled to win for a little while but always finishing like top 4, and then they won gamers 8 2022, won the Siege Jonkoping major end of last year, and now have won the gamers 8 2023 as well. Also Pengu retired back in 2021

This is so funny Tim watched this a few days prior to the Warzone LAN event where so many streamers, not only didn't perform the same, but couldn't even play the same way they do at home, and this guy's response to proving he is not cheating was watch me perform the same on LAN; which he can. I won’t disagree, but macie is a breath of fresh air in the “tdm” meta that siege is still currently “mostly” in. Macie is loved because he makes plays that require actual play making skills. He isn’t as gifted a beaulo (no where close) but can clutch and change a game just because of how he decides to play it.

Long time community member here. Shaiiko is still competing in Pro League with good success. Him and his team (BDS) won a major tournament last year. He is still a beast and still no definitive proof if he ever cheated or not.

Pengu got two of the greatest Rainbow 6 players banned from pro play because he was intimidated by them. Beaulo and Shaiko both banned because pengu had suspicious reasoning. I think more focus should be on pengu crying wolf about two players that after years of being banned were found not guilty of the crime.

Shaiko is still competing on team BDS. To this day Shaiko is one of the best Seige players who has yet to win an SI (Seige’s biggest tournament.) As for Shaiko today, his individual performance and skill is around the same as the time the video you reacted came out. However, BDS as a team has been overall underwhelming when it comes to Regional placements and SI appearances/placement.

Shaiiko has been so good in Siege for so long it is crazy. There is a spot on Kafe that is called Shaiiko because he started playing that position and dominated from it that others started using it but he made it famous at his caliber.

Hey Tim, love the content! Shaiiko still plays pro league and is still a dominant player. Some other players you should check out: Jason "Beaulo" Doty (Also accused of cheating but just a beast. Arguably better than Shaiiko but both are super skilled), and Kixstar (rest in peace). Both had great impacts on the Siege community over the years. Much love from South Africa, have a good one!

A sum of what has happened since for Tim: He was fully cleared of ever hacking after further testing was done on the anticheat software. After reaching Pro League with BDS he built them into one of the strongest teams to date, has reached the final few in every competition and won both of the Siege tournaments with the highest prize pool. Pengu (guy who got him banned) declined in skill and popularity soon after this video and he retired in 2020, no longer regarded as the best player. Nowadays, he is still BDS ace player, streams on twitch occasionally and remains as (imo) the best player currently.

It's not controversial at all anymore because basically everyone nowadays acknowledges that shaiiko was falsely accused and banned from pro play because the golden boy of pro league at the time (pengu) and penta esports called him out and ubi just outright excepted it as a fact without any further investigation and strong armed the ESL pro league to ban him. After a 3 year ban shaiiko came back even more cracked than he was before so people accused him of hacking again (myself included) but the pro league organizers told the public they knew for certain he was legit. And that's when everyone realized he never cheated to begin with. And yes he's still active today and if he didn't get banned from pro play, he would now be the longest competing pro player of all time. Another thing they didn't mention in the video is the fact that when shaiiko got those 25 kills against luminosity, he broke pengu's kill record of 22 kills, which he held for over 2 years. Yes the same pengu that got him banned from pro play.

I blatantly disagree. He didn’t apologize because he, and other pro players, found the MOSS files suspicious and this was early siege. It was VERY easy to cheat in early siege. There were pro players in NA that got banned for cheating. It wasn’t unprecedented. Pengu was one of the best all-around players for years. Then, he retired as a player, streamed and made videos, and came back as a caster after KiX passed. Since starting casting, he’s been received as one of the most beloved casters alongside Interro, Ace, Dez, and many others that do amazing work. If Pengu really tried to “push out competition,” then why wasn’t Joystick accused of anything? The answer is because Pengu and others didn’t find Joystick’s actions suspicious, and there was no evidence.

The only thing Shaiiko hasn't won IIRC is the Invitational. But so far, he has won 3 European majors with BDS. At the end of the day, his team always falls short in invitational. Pengu has apologised to Shaiiko and I believe they're actually good now.

shaiko is still competing and an undeniably talented player, unfortunately BDS are pretty consistently LAN chokers which lead to a meme “BDS takes it” they did win a major sort of recently tho so that’s cool. Pengu is no longer playing competitively but he is casting NAL which has it’s final regular playday this week

using a macro vs actually cheating is much different imputting a command to spam itself and seeing through walls is an insane comparison yes macro gives you an advantage but not the kind of advantage walls would give you not to mention the dude who got him banned said it was because he had too much information and he thought he was using walls, but then it turns out they found a macro programmed which means the dude who got him banned legit was just getting outplayed and his ego was hurting

I think 2019 was at a time before the movement was severely re-worked / nerfed. The quick peaking one taps, the character model was more difficult to hit while leaning, the ADS speed hadn’t been nerfed yet... someone THAT gifted mechanically could appear to be cheating for sure. The game was so different before those reworks. I doubt he did cheat though- 20k hours, and 24 kills on LAN.

The damming thing is the esl rehabilitation program thing. Intero did say on one of his 6 on 6 podcast that surely one of the parts of that is that he would have privately admited to something.
