Another fascinating look into the Japan Koi World. The Chip section was very interesting. Beautiful scenery as always. Cheers Tim.

As well as outstanding beautiful Koi, you got to admire the beautiful landscapes. Just goes to show how much they trust you Tim and "certain" people, for you to be able to wander around the farms where you please. 美しい 🤓👍

What a superb video Tim. The microchips are interesting. I had heard of it, it absolutely make sense for the single coloured fish and the ones with less pattern like asagi or black diamonds or tancho kohaku.

Great Video Tim!! But I thought Select Koi was the biggest buyer of Dainichi koi in the US 🤣

Great video, Tim. Does everyone carry a change of clothes around with them? I've watched many videos and not seen anyone fall in, but surely it must happen with such narrow walkways and so many trip hazards.😂
@TimWaddington4 ай бұрын
You know, you say that but I probably know of about 4/5 people to ever fall in one of the ponds. Only 1 of my clients ever have. I’ve known a lot of phones and cameras go in though.
@lindosbay4 ай бұрын
That's an impressively small amount. I think I'd rather fall in myself than my camera fall in though, at least I'm waterproof, good job modern phones have a degree of waterproofing.😊

Thank you tim. I seen other people here in the us do the chips. They are using it to identify fish in the ponds and how many times they are caught. Especially game fish like trout and bass.

I’ve got two Dainichi Showa be sansai now , lovely fish offspring of Mona Lisa I believe. Great breeder I don’t have too many Dainichi in the pond though not that I like it that way !!!

Beautiful fish Tim I could look at them forever! You’re brave going in winter with all that snow! I don’t like snow never have, we had snow here in Seattle a month ago I slipped on the ice & fell but I’m ok now. How’s Paul? Still daft as ever! You must be getting a break from him in Japan. He should be a comedian! Are those fish houses warm inside or a bit nippy? I’m sure the koi like the cold water? We have gold fish in a pond in our yard they seem to survive the freezing temperatures. Take care & be safe in the snow

Always snowy for the All Japan Show trip! Paul’s still daft, yes! Koi houses all warm as they have the water heaters on 👍

Hi Tim~ Enjoy your video however lately the VOLUME from your 🎤 microphone is LOW and difficult to hear!! Tried a different video on a different iPhone and still low!! Please try putting your mic closer to your mouth 💋 Don’t want to miss what your are saying 😄thx, Maria Barry

With tropical Asian arowana we have been chipping fish for years. They can’t leave the country without it, the chip has to match the certificate. I always thought the high end koi should do the same given the similar price points.

How big is the koi hobby in Japan compared to the rest of the world?
@TimWaddington4 ай бұрын
Good question. Yeah I’d say it’s probably pretty big. I would probably say the same as UK? Maybe.
